Two strikes and you’re out!
A Couple months ago we ordered sandwiches delivered and one of them came with literally green MOLD on the bread. LOTS! They made us wait almost 2 weeks to get a refund for our moldy meal. This week they are promoting free delivery and since I am in a wheelchair with a broken ankle I decided to give them another chance. We ordered 3 sandwiches and 4 smoothies. $42.00!!! It was the smoothies we were excited about. We opted for the contactless delivery. I have my daughter run out to meet the Door Dash Driver and receive the product but he left and sure enough there was NO smoothies.
Call the restaurant and tell us WE have to pick them up. They said the SMOOTHIES were there. And it was the drivers fault because they have a contract with door dash and it’s their responsibility. However we ordered this through the Tropical Smoothie Restaurant website. DoorDash has no record of it because we ordered it directly from the restaurant. Neither entity would take responsibility. Neither entity would deliver the smoothies. The restaurant basically said sorry. If you want to come and get them that’s fine but TS was going to do anything else for us. Tropical smoothie was completely unapologetic. Completely unsympathetic and of no help at all. The cowardly manager on duty Ryan wouldn’t even come to the phone. He sent all the messages through staff person Caryme. Ultimately they told us we have to file a complaint via email with the receipt.
So they have our money and we only have a receipt with their name on it but no smoothies or service. Theft?
Do with this what you may. I just think that after two negative experiences and such an unapologetic reaction that they deserved a little attention.
Follow up: finally got the local manager to say he would submit a refund request. I have to follow up in five days with my credit card company. Check out the photo of his response. Still completely...
Read moreI love this place, they’ve always been great. The associates are so friendly and efficient. But today I had an unfortunate encounter with one of their managers, he was abrasive and frankly rude, I can understand when associates are short tempered but if you are a manager you should be much better at being kind and patient with customers. He was a larger man with dark hair, fair skin, and a muscular build. I came in to pick up a mobile order for the first time (I had just downloaded the app because I get smoothies there so often I wanted to try it) and right off the bat he was very short with me, talking to me like I was a child. And this isn’t the first offense, I have seen him being rude to other employees in the past. Anyways to wrap up this review, the place as a whole is very very good and I definitely would recommend going there, but I do think that they might be needing a few changes of staffing...
Read moreWhat a great time I had. I drove a round trip of one hour to get to this establishment and it did not disappoint. I'll start with the food, I got the sunrise sunset and an ultimate club with a side of maple kissed sweet potatoes. The potatoes and smoothie were good as expected, but I can not get over how good the ultimate club is. Every single time I've eaten it it's like I'm having it for the first time, absolute paradise. Now, for the establishment itself. I was only in there for a short time while waiting for my order(which wasn't too long), and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. Usually I get nervous ordering things but here I was not anxious, and my server Joseph took my order with a smile.
