Really good pizza, and the management look after their customers.
I’ve enjoyed Tampa Pizza for the three years I’ve lived in Westchase. They offer a wide variety of specialty pizzas and a long list of ingredients to build your own pizza. The quality of the pizza is outstanding - ingredients and crust are fresh and well prepared, always very delicious.
I recently ordered for delivery, as I’ve done many times, using their online system. After about an hour, I called the store to check on my order. Unfortunately, they couldn’t find a record of it. I had a confirmation email of my order and my credit card had been charged. It was very confusing. Admittedly I was frustrated and, as it was getting late, I was hangry. I drove over to the store to sort it out. Turns out one of the store employees had made a mistake. They had prepared my pizza and it had been sitting there, ready to go, but somehow the order had been closed out in their system. When they realized their mistake, they were very apologetic and offered to make me a new pizza, refunded my money, and explained the mistake. I kept the pizza they had made earlier and accepted the refund. That made it right as far as I was concerned. But the next day they called me and offered a complimentary order and again apologized for the mix-up. I didn’t take them up on their offer as I wasn’t going to be around, but I am so impressed by this. They had already made it right, and they didn’t have to go any further. But they took the time to call me and apologize again and make sure I was satisfied. A restaurant that obviously cares this much about their customers is one I will return to again and again. Read moreI have been ordering pizza here since I moved to westchase because they have gluten and dairy free items, which is great for me since I am intolerant to both. However, I unfortunately have many qualms with this place. For starters, I always order the exact same pizza. Every single time. So much so, that they know me and my partner by name. Despite this fact, they cannot seem to ever remember that I order basil on my pizza, something you have to pay EXTRA for. So not only am I almost always missing an ingredient, I am not getting my money's worth. Additionally, do not ever try and order their gluten free brownies, no matter if they are available for purchase through their website or not, because you will not receive any. They dont seem to ever make or have them for some reason and i have no idea why they keep it on the menu. I would also complain about their menu pricing (for example, at blaze pizza you can order as many additional ingredients as you want free of charge, here you have to pay an extra fee for every single additional ingredient which is ridiculous in my opinion). For the most part the pizza tastes great, but due to these reasons, if there were any other pizza place nearby that offered dairy and gluten free options, I would never return to tampa pizza company. If you’re having it delivered, make sure to have a back up plan for food, because this is the second time that I’ve ordered from them and had the food just not show up. I’ve only ordered from them four times, so that’s half of my orders.
The first time, the order was placed 45 minutes before closing. They canceled the order and didn’t bother to notify us of that fact. That should have taught me my lesson, but the reviews were great, so I ordered again. I was right, and the food was fantastic.
Then tonight, I placed an order at 8:30, 1.5 hours before closing. My food was scheduled to arrive between 9:45-10. It never arrived.
They close at ten, so by the time I had waited what I felt was a decent amount of time to allow for some lateness, it was twenty minutes past close, so I couldn’t even contact them to see what was going on.
Luckily for me, I ordered through Slice, the app that they heavily encourage that customers use to order online. They’ll be refunding me in the morning.
I also decided to order from another local pizzeria that doesn’t close until midnight. Since it’s 11pm, and I haven’t eaten in six hours, here’s hoping they’re more...
