My wife, daughter and I often stop at Waffle House for breakfast or brunch. Anywhere we go we try our best to locate a waffle house near by. For a place that focuses on fast service they seem to always provide delicious food with excellent customer service. Today we stopped at the Davenport location and were greeted and served by Chelsey. From the moment we sat down we can tell this team had a great relationship. They communicated well, served us quickly (and most importantly accurately …. Even with our request to Hold the waffles till we were ready to eat them … we love our waffles warm.) Chelsey asked if we needed anything else and checked up on us twice during our meal (Perfect amount of times), she noticed when we were at the end of our meal and asked if we were ready for our waffles. Once we got our waffles we were amazed! They were PERFECTLY made! Bravo!! I mean, if your name is going to be “Waffle House” I expect perfect waffles, and that we got! THANKYOU Kaishla (I hope we spelled it correctly). The waffles were amazing!!! They were warm, fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. Mouth watering! We simply made a “Wow those were perfect comment” and the manager took the opportunity to recognize his employee. Once again we must say …. Bbrravvooo! Way to be an excellent leader and not just a manager. It is always impressive to us when managers take their time to recognize their teams! An absolute 5...
Read moreThis new Waffle House in Davenport is an absolute disgrace. WHAT KIND OF WAFFLE HOUSE OPENS UP AND TELLS PEOPLE IT’S TAKEOUT ONLY?! With a security guard inside like it’s a prison cafeteria? Are you out of your minds?
Waffle House is supposed to be 24/7, sit down, order at the counter, watch the food sizzle, drink coffee refills, and actually enjoy the diner vibe. That’s the whole tradition. That’s the whole reason people even bother going. Instead, you’ve destroyed it on DAY ONE. No tables. No sit-down. No late-night atmosphere. Just a sad bag of food tossed at you like you’re not even worth the effort. PATHETIC.
If I wanted to eat out of a bag, I’d hit Taco Bell’s drive-thru for half the price. People come to Waffle House for the EXPERIENCE, not to stare at a locked dining room while some rent-a-cop sits inside pretending that eggs and waffles are high-security items. It’s insulting.
You wasted my time, you wasted my money, and you destroyed what should’ve been a late-night tradition. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be FIRED immediately. This isn’t Waffle House. This is a fraud with a sign slapped on it.
Fix it. Open your dining room. Or shut it down, because right now this place is NOTHING but a disgrace to the...
Read moreWe had a table of four but the girls only wanted happy meals so only us 2 adults were eating. Our waitress greeted us promptly and asked for our drinks but then she never fixed them or brought them to us but instead went to call out an order to the chef and then laugh and have a chat prior to fixing our drinks. Then she came and took our order and decided to talk about us to the chef and poke fun of my husband about his size and what he ordered but she was mere feet from us and I could hear her clear as day. She was very nice to our face but horrible when she thought we weren't listening. The food was great and came to us in a timely manner. She did almost charge us 1.00 over what we owed because she miscounted, but we're all human and make mistakes so we didn't think anything of it and she fixed it and apologized when we brought it to her attention. Overall our experience would've been great other than our waitress being too busy chatting up the chef to serve her waiting customers and also making fun of my husband because of what he ordered (no one deserves that to...
