Hello,
I am a Mobile Order Driver, and I encountered an issue on the evening of Thursday, March 13th, 2025, while attempting to pick up an order from Burger King at 44149 US-27, Davenport, FL 33897.
For safety reasons, I arrived at the drive-through at 11:00 PM to collect the order, as I have done at other establishments during similar late hours. However, at the window, an employee named Luis refused to provide me with the customer’s order and insisted that I exit my vehicle to pick it up inside.
I immediately requested to speak with the manager, who identified himself as David. The manager confirmed that there was no policy prohibiting pickups through the drive-through, to his knowledge, and mentioned that the preference was for Mobile Order Driver to come inside before midnight. I offered to move my vehicle to the front to receive the order in hand, but this was denied. The manager then closed the window, and I proceeded to contact customer support to cancel the pickup due to the refusal of Burger King staff. I explained my safety concerns, as I have never been informed that 12:00 AM is the cutoff for in-store pickups for mobile orders. Customer Service understood my concerns and had no choice but to cancel the order.
While waiting for the cancellation to be completed, I observed Staff Luis coming outside with another customer’s order. He appeared to be interacting with two males in the front seat, clapping hands, and conversing with them before handing over their order. I immediately informed the representative on the phone that it seemed Burger King was accommodating personally known customers/ friends but not Mobile Order Drivers.
Before leaving, I requested the names of both employees. Staff Luis interrupted the manager and was disrespectful, asking why I needed their names. I kept the Customer Rep. on the line to ensure the conversation was recorded.
The dismissive, passive-aggressive attitude from the staff was unprofessional and unacceptable. I should have been allowed to pick up the order through the drive-through at 11:00 PM, especially considering the dark, rainy, and cold weather. As a Floridian, we have hurricanes and recently we've had reports of Tornadoes. For safety reasons, it is important for both employees and Mobile Order Drivers to act in a safe and respectful manner.
I have never been told that I must wait until 12:00 AM to pick up an order. Most establishments closed their doors at 11:00 PM and drive through is to continue as normal. I am requesting immediate assistance in addressing this issue.
I immediately sent a complaint to Burger King corporate.
In addition, after reading several complaints and reviews of this establishment, it appears this behavior, sanitary of food, and poor service had been happening for...

I've eaten at plenty of fast food joints over the years, but this Burger King location managed to fail at literally every aspect of running a restaurant. Where do I even begin with this disaster?
First off, I waited 30 minutes for a simple Number 1 combo. Thirty minutes! I've gotten sit-down meals at actual restaurants faster than that. But the wait was just the beginning of this nightmare.
The soda machine was completely broken, which would be fine if they had bothered to mention this when I ordered. Instead, they handed me an empty cup like I was supposed to perform some kind of miracle. What exactly was I supposed to do with this cup? Fill it from the bathroom sink? Speaking of which, maybe that would have been an improvement because the toilets were absolutely revolting - I've seen gas station bathrooms that were cleaner.
But here's the real kicker: they apparently don't believe in napkins at this location. I'm talking about a complete napkin drought. I literally walked out of the restaurant with food smeared on my face because there wasn't a single napkin to be found anywhere. Not at the counter, not in the dispensers, nowhere. I had to use my shirt sleeve like some kind of caveman.
And after all that waiting, they had the audacity to hand me cold food that had obviously been sitting on the counter for who knows how long. Thirty minutes for a cold burger - are you kidding me? The food was mediocre at best even when factoring out the temperature, but honestly, after everything else, it could have been a five-star meal and I still would have left furious. This place is a complete joke. The staff seemed completely indifferent to the chaos around them, and management is clearly asleep at the wheel.
Do yourself a favor and drive to literally any other restaurant. Even a vending machine would provide better service than this catastrophe of a Burger King. I wouldn't feed this experience to my worst enemy.

Read moreSo, we seldom visit this Burger King but we wanted to try the new Chi’King and this was on the way home. We made a huge mistake. We sat in the drive thru for a good while before getting to the order menu board. We heard a slight crackle but never a voice. There were people behind us in line so we drove forward, thinking we would just have to place our order at the window. It took 45 minutes in line at the drive thru, fir the person at the window to tell us that they aren’t accepting credit cards at the window and that we would have to go inside. We start placing the order and found that they are out of the Chi’King (the whole reason we chose BK). So, we had to step back and call the family to get alternative orders. We then place our order and find that they are also out of mozzerella sticks and their soda machine doesn’t work so we can’t get drinks either. Our order appears to be ready as they set our bag on the counter and disappear. We check the bag to find one entire meal missing and we wait fir a worker to reappear. One lady finally appears to walk by and we have to call out to her to tell her we are missing part of our order. She can’t seem to hear or grasp what we are saying at first but finally gets it. It appears we have everything but of course we arrive home to find one meal missing cheese and no zesty sauce for the onion rings. Why and how is this restaurant still open? I don’t think the pandemic can be blamed as we have received poor service and items out of stock every time we have gone. BK can do better, but this one seems to have problems that may be beyond resolution. I wouldn’t recommend this particular restaurant to anyone for any reason. I’ve never ever given such a poor review and I’m sorry that this is what I...
