Don't do business with this store! I didn't buy a lot from the Staples before and choose to give a try this time because of its convenient location and competitive price on IPad Air. I never thought this would be a risky move for the nation wide reputation of this office supplies store. Oh, what a mistake I made! I made an store pick-up order on 11/20/2014 and received an email on 11/22/2014 saying that the IPad is ready to pick up and will be hold until 11/25/25. Guess what happened when I went to the store on 11/23/2014? It was sold! Yes, you heard me right. An reserved item ready for pick up is sold before the pick up and the whole has only an open-box one left! What kind of business can do something like this? It does not keep its word and respect its customer. What's more disappointing is the response from the manager and the sales person. The sales person first offered me to take the open-box IPad if I really need to pick up today. Seriously? I paid the price for a brand new IPad, not something that's been used and returned. Then I indicated that I was not satisfied with being treating like this as a valued customer but was only offered to drive 20 miles to another Staples store and tried my luck there. The manager of the store nevered showed up and apologized for their mistakes, making me feel like I am such an insignificant individual who does not worth his time. Since I dont know where to go, I ask the young man with very short hair operating self checkout, and instead of explaining to me politely, he just points the direction with his mouth. I first didnt let this affect me, as I also worked for retail for years while I finished my PhD, and I understand people have their personal problems, or maybe they are not having a good day. I finally did my Amazon Return. The employee lady that helped me at the counter was super sweet. Now the problem is that as I am heading out, there is another customer walking in front of me, which then the self checkoit employee proceeds to say the usual (bye, have a nice day) to that customer. However, when it is my turn to pass by him to exit, he says nothing but stare at me. Tbh, I wouldn’t have cared if the employee didnt directed me to the counter, as it was small inconvenience that led me to believe that he didnt mean to be rude. Read moreI went in the morning on July 3 for a ups drop off . I was waiting patiently to be assisted. People came in after me, and were all being helped. I asked the young lady at the register if she could call someone to assist. When the young man arrived I simply said hey ive been waiting patiently and no one helped if you can please just let it be known to always pay attention to all customers waiting in line being that there's multiple lines for different services he said well you have to understand we are busy. I explained that there were only 2 people ahead of me and all of the customers currently being helped came after me. He then stated we'll you have to understand and complaining about it isn't going to fix anything or change anything so you can stop complaining.
