Wendy's — Restaurant in Florida

I needed help to figure out how my daughter could eat at this store, and allow me to pay for it from across country. I wanted to buy a gift card over the phone. The manager said that was not possible. I asked if she could think of any other way around this problem? Could I go to a Wendy's in my state and pay and they give her the gift card there? No. The manager was curt, uncaring and couldn't think how to do it. I got her to give me the phone number for a district manager, but decided to try a different store first. I called another Wendy's in Port Charlotte, and spoke to Justin. He solved my problem immediately! He was friendly, creative, and patient as he explained how we could download the Wendy's app on both our phones which would allow me to pay and her to eat. The whole experience was terrible. Should have figured out this wasn't going to be good, since it was lunch time and place was empty. Food is overpriced compared to what you get at competitors, and we had 3 people with us, and every order was wrong. The hamburgers were burnt and dry, the baconator came with one soggy piece of bacon, the fries were cold, and in a town where mostly senior citizens live, the fancy coke machine was not user friendly at all. When we brought this up to the manager, she refused to refund our purchase, instead told us we needed to keep the receipt which she signed, and we could come back for just as an awful experience. They should have at least refunded purchase, or offer gift cards to come back to wendy's. Instead have to revisit that messy place, which doesn't know how to cook hamburger or add correct amount of bacon or be out the $25 plus we spent. Avoid...

Wendy’s usually has good food, however, you seldom get what you ask for at the drive-through. Might as well just pull up to the window and say I’ve got $20 just throw whatever you want me to have in a bag because that seems like what they do. Occasionally you get one right sandwich but not the way you requested it. Tonight we got two correct sandwiches but they were lukewarm, as were the spicy chicken nuggets and we asked for two orders of fries - but only got one. Whatever happened to them making the food when you ordered it?
