Wild Ocean Market is a must stop! It's tucked away in the docks and that just adds to the authenticity of the operation. We purchased fresh caught shrimp that were labeled as large but anywhere else these things are jumbo! $10/lb was a steal! We also picked up some fresh scallops, clams, and some excellent cocktail sauce. Just amazing. Excellent food, excellent experience. Definitely recommend!

Perfect place to purchase local fish and shrimp. I loved the area and the places to sit and hang out. We made a few purchases here and looked forward to having wahoo fish for dinner. We also enjoyed the conversation with staff and their knowledge or the fish they were selling . We purchased matching fish hook bracelets from a local artist as well. Stop by you won't be disappointed.

Got freshly caught shrimp and grupper. Delicious and prices ok. Much better then farm raised and processed in China frozen shrimp you get in your local groceries. Strongly recommend. Staff was very friendly. Even though I didn't ask skin was peeled off. Also got bag of ice to keep my purchase chilled till home.

In town from Michigan. We eat a good bit of freshwater fish but believe it or not there’s not a ton of saltwater in Michigan. Looked up this place and saw the great reviews.

As I pulled up I noticed a lady and man speaking outside. The air fresh and salty air foreshadowed what was to come. The man noticed me, and left so that the lady could come in and help me out. Turns out he was a fisherman back from a long day at sea.

As I entered the store I noticed a clean fish smell, nothing rotten. I perused the fish and everything looked clean, had clear eyes, and didn’t look overly oily or as if it had been sitting a long time(because it hadn’t). I asked the lady (who’s name I wish I remembered sorry!) what she had local and she said everything was local except a few select items. I asked what could handle the sweet and spicy heat of blackening spices and she quickly replied Cobia.

What is Cobia you ask? It’s a fish. I mean common… context people.

So I ordered 1.5 lbs of it took it home and blackened it.

The price is what I expect for fresh caught and local. You aren’t buying some communist caught and shipped fish here. Nope. Your going to pay and yet the price is fair.

Phenomenal, fresh, clean, salty, sweet. It describes the fish and my experience here. I’m on day 1 of a 9 day vacation. I got a feeling I’ll be back!

Oh did I mention they ship anywhere in the...

Visit on Sunday 825-24 Hidden place that looked run down and closed, we walked to front door to find them open, after entering the single man on staff(maybe owner) was rude. We told him we wanted to look around, he ignored us turned away then starting blasting music on his cell phone all while keeping his back to us. We walked over to the display counter and could not see the shrimp inside the little slide top cooler, we opened one side to see in, that's when this staff person came around the back of the counter and yelled at us for opening the slide top cooler. Again very rude, did not want to service us ask us any questions or even sell anything. We walked out with out purchasing anything. (on a good note the place was clean inside and did not smell bad) We will never go back! They lost a few hundred dollars worth of sales as we had full intention of purchasing several...

Guy( yes that is his name) knows fresh seafood and if thats what you are after then you have gotten to the right place. Guy was helpful when recommendations was needed to cook a meal of tile fish and middle neck clams for my family on vacation. Prices for seafood has definitely risen over the past few years and it's reflected here but so is everything recently. The seafood here is restaurant quality and better if you know how to cook it correctly. The only improvement I would suggest is to have better signs pointing to the actual store; located next to Gator dockside. Support local Florida fishermen so we can continue to taste and experience local Florida seafood. Somebody give this...
