We found this gem on Google maps when looking to spend some free time while driving down the Space Coast. Never heard of it before, but definitely visiting again when around. When we were there only the top (7th) floor was open which is the observation deck. It is absolutely gorgeous!! Then we looked the opposite back side of the deck, around the entrance and jumped scared because we saw an alligator staring at us…lol, it was a small statue on the floor for kids to play around. That wall had silhouettes of different birds and many plates around with facts about them. The tower is surrounded by a body of water and there are fish and birds all around it. It is so beautiful up there, you gotta see yourself. The lowest level (entrance) is a gift shop and a caffe if you would like to drink and snack. Here they have a very beautiful mobile made of plastic trash, hanging from the ceiling. There are palm trees around the tower and in front of it is the Port Canaveral and you can see all those huge cruise ships parked there. I wish all floors were open so we can check all. I guess next time. And all this beauty for free! My kids and I enjoyed every second of this visit and will be back for sure. I highly...
Read moreOur family really lives to come here. You can come on a regular day, they have a gift shop on the first floor, and if you look up they made these huge sea animal statue like things all from different recycled materials. They are really cool. Then you can head up stairs they have a floor dedicated to different ships, they have model sized ones you can look at or you can play this huge simulator it's like you are the captain of a huge ship, to see how well you can steer it etc. Then they have the next floor where they have a wall of surfboards, it looks like a big tidal wave and you can take pictures standing on it. Then they have a level with a balcony. Then if you go to the very top they have over sized animals for your kids to play on, or you can look Into the binoculars and get an up close look to all the action on the port. They also have a lot of events down there, like on the 4th of july you can hang out with the family do the bouncy houses and food trucks, or the games and activities. If you pay a little extra you can do the V.I.P and you get to watch the fireworks fro. The top of the tower. It...
Read moreThe Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral is a beautiful building situated in a remarkable place. It’s also a great place for a small to medium size wedding, birthday party, etc. The event staff is outstanding. I recently had the pleasure of working with Ellie and her manager. After my brief and distasteful meeting with Fish Lips Restaurant event coordinator to caterer our event at Explorer Tower (ET), I was ready to go look for a different location and caterer. Fish Lips is on the list of ET approved caterers but they were more interested in me having the event at their restaurant than at ET and that wasn't what I wanted. I called Ellie the event coordinator at ET and she suggested I look at the other caterers on the list. I choose Renaissance Catering and couldn’t have been happier with the location or the caterer. Jessica at Renaissance Catering and Ellie at Explorer Tower made my event the best it could have...
