I had some of my family visiting us, while we did the Sno-Bird gig from Central N.Y. I planned a lot of exciting things to do, to make it a memorable trip for them. Sorry to say, I never thought to add the helicopter tour. Why? I don't know. I had my 1st of many opportunities during my stint in the service and loved it.
While driving about with my grandson and his friend from home, , we happened to be in the neighborhood of your heliport and the 1st thing that came into my head was a ....DUH! So I made a sharp turn into the parking lot, with the pretense of going in, just to get some info.
It just so happened that you had a gap in your schedule and an opportunity to go up, was there. After doing the necessary pref-light paper work and made payment, which by the way was very reasonable, I went out to my car and told the boys ..."Gear Up Boys, Your Next!"
As they exited the car, they had the look of Awe and Confusion on their faces. But, being 17 years old, they were too macho to show any concern. As they boarded and sat there during warm up, I could see the sheer excitement on their faces.
After they took off, the chopper mad an orbit around the area and on it's return and landing, nothing could explain the exuberation that they were showing, as the exited the bird. I for one, almost wet my Depends because I was exited for them. Needless to say, they talked about it for days and is now, the best thing that the did in Florida.
Well, the story doesn't stop there. I carried through with the same scenario, with my son and the woman in his life. Neither have every been on a copter ride themselves. It was like the experience I had with the two boys, all over again. And I was just excited as they were, for providing them with this golden opportunity
It doesn't take too much to make a 70 year old happy now a days.
I want to thank your outfit for providing this wonderful experience for my family members and for running a classy operation. You are to be commended
Finally, for those that would like to have this experience, but for some reason, have doubts or fear, don't cut yourself short. If opportunity only knocks on your door once, and you decide not to open it, you'll never know what you might have missed out on , and always kick yourself ........... GO FOR IT AND YOU WILL NEVER BE SORRY!.

They are open every day with several flight options to choose from rangin in prices from $45 to 200 per person.. They have 2 helicopters and they are not always waiting on the pad. They have 2 covered areas behind the main office where the aircraft are parked so don’t think that they are closed if you drive by and you see no aircraft on the pad. The main office is a single-wide trailer with a counter, chairs, an office and a restroom. They have 4 iPads set up for each person to sign a waiver. Each flyer must listen to a 4-minute video on safety related to the aircraft and flight. Most of their flights are over the water, so you must wear a life vest. It is uninflated and looks like a red fanny pack. I took option 2 which was a flight from the observation tower, over the beach, back to the barge canal and the river, and then back to the landing pad. The price was reasonable. I would highly recommend that you go on a clear day so you can see more while you are airborne and go with at least one other person as they need a minimum of 2 people to fly and a solo rider would have to pay for the second seat (namely twice the price). The aircraft was a Robinson 44 helicopter. The ride was smooth. The pilot was professional and knowledgeable about the area. You could easily see the cape, the launch pads, the Vehicle Assembly Building and the cruise terminals. As a bonus, there was a SpaceX rocket being offloaded when I went up. Overall, It was a great ride and I would recommend this to others wanting to see the area...
Read moreLet me start off by saying the view was incredible and I wish i bought a longer package. We got to see dolphins, a navy submarine, and Cocoa from the sky. The landing and takeoff were extremely smooth!
However, during the entire visit, the pilot was rushed and absent minded. He was generally confused and he kept asking the same questions over and over despite receiving the same answers.
The questions were all items that shouldn't be the customers problem. Half the time I was trying to enjoy the view I was repeating answers to questions for the pilot about flight details he should be taking care of. Very unprofessional.
Our second party wasn't allowed to wait in the trailer and there was no water left in the dispenser even though there was a full container sitting on the ground. We weren't offered the video package / shown it after the flight compared to when I took the biplane tour.
I reached out to the owner, Mark, who said he would contact me back and never did.
I've been on both the helicopter tour and the biplane tour and I would've been thoroughly disappointed with this company if it wasn't for the amazing biplane experience.
Here was my review for the Biplane.
"I had a spectacular time. When we entered Mark flagged us down and offered us soda, water, or beer. Before the flight, we were allowed to hang out inside the hanger or in the office room with Brittany. The flight was beautiful and Ryan was marvelous at flying, landing, and touring above Cocoa beach. I would recommend this trip to anyone and it was the highlight of my vacation. Thanks for the...
