Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Flower Mound

I gave this store 5 stars for one reason. This store has the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of shopping with . I shop Braum's alot and do so in many different stores. What is unique here is the friendliness and cheerful atmosphere that surrounds this place. I am met with a smile as well as super service. Al the employees are terrific. It feels nice to go into a store and have an employee make you laugh. Spend time helping you and never push you to hurry up when busy. The one on one they give you is a pleasant change of pace. There is a dynamic force in this store and his name is AUSTIN! This guy is Always smiling and makes an effort to make you feel like he cares , because he really does, he is funny and fun and an absolute delight! He sets the pace and mood in the store I believe, and seems to really know his customers. So many of us shop there just because of the lighthearted fun atmosphere , looking forward to a sundae, gallon of milk , and a laugh. Ice cream is fun and should be. I watched the other night and almost everyone left there with a smile on their face . I did ! This is why I felt driven to review this upbeat ,fun ,and exceptional store. Go there. The ice cream is always good. The service not so much. I went thru drive-thru and confirmed at the window that I had a spoon. He shook his head yes. Got to my room and guess what? No spoon. First, I shouldn't have to ask and second if I do as and you say yes I better have a son. I guess it's a finger in the ice cream kind of night. 🤦🏻‍♂️

This location used to be worse. Very slow, they would ask you to pull out of the drivethru and wait for your order which was likely not to come until you walked inside and the smell of sour dairy was horrible. They remodeled over a year ago and the smell is starting to creep back inside. No excuse for this in a restaurant. I worked for many years in the restaurant industry and cleanliness was always top priority - not at this location. I only purchase form the take home store now because I don't trust the quality of cleanliness of the food prep area. There should never be foul smells in a fast food restaurant.

Our first visit to this location and we were excited about it. Then we made it to the parking lot which is oddly arranged around the building and makes it slightly annoying to maneuver into the drive thru. The manager was on window duty and seemed impatient for us to order. I asked for a moment to finish adjusting my car. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo & a cheeseburger combo. The patties were not fresh, they were obviously re-warmed which gave the burger a weird aftertaste. Lettuce & tomato were old (so tragic). Fries? You guessed it! Old and cold.The tea was terrible! When in Texas, use a reasonable amount of sugar to make tea please and thank you! No smile or being spoken to in a friendly manner. But, they did take the time to stare at my daughter and I as we chatted amongst ourselves as we waited for this poor excuse of edible food. Needless to say, I wouldn't choose...
