I recently visited a new Mexican restaurant in Flower Mound, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience left much to be desired. We arrived at 4:40 pm, only to find a rope still across the door, even though they had opened 10 minutes earlier—a small oversight, but still a bit confusing. There was a ton of waitstaff standing around and most of the tables were still having their candles lit, which typically I would understand but they opened 10 minutes late.
Our waitress Cathy was friendly, but the service was incredibly slow. We waited almost 10 minutes after being seated before she even showed up at our table. I don’t think that was her doing, I think she was not informed she had a table. Then the food didn’t quite hit the mark. The salsa, while not bad, lacked any real spice or complexity—there wasn’t a single spicy bite throughout the entire meal. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos, and while the steak was tender, the entire plate was very bland and one-dimensional in flavor. My mother opted for the shrimp cocktail, which wasn’t what we would consider a “shrimp cocktail” — it was just four jumbo shrimp with a side of cocktail sauce.
About 20 minutes into our visit, the atmosphere took a strange turn. They dimmed most of the lights and turned on obnoxious music, which completely changed the mood of the meal. To add to the odd experience, we were seated next to a half dead plant, which didn’t exactly add to the ambiance.
My mother tried the Oaxacan Sandia cocktail, which she thought was okay, but I decided against ordering a drink after reviewing the cocktail menu.
Our waitress asked if we were finished then took our plates. After about 5-10 minutes she came back and asked if we wanted to revisit the menu, we declined and she asked if we wanted the check. She took everything off the table —including our chips and waters (which we did say we were done but I’ve never been to a Mexican place that removes the chips and salsa before bringing the check). She brought us the check on a clip board, my mother attached her card but then Cathy came back and ran the card at the table, then she stood there holding the pin pad, requesting we tip her. The fact that they run the card at the table with the waitress standing right there felt a little uncomfortable.
To top it off, the people at the table two rows behind us were incredibly loud, and we could hear their entire conversation for the duration of our meal, which made it difficult to enjoy our time in peace.
Overall, while the service staff was polite, the food didn’t leave a lasting impression, and the slow service, uncomfortable atmosphere, and noisy environment didn’t help the experience. I hope this place improves its speed, ambiance, and flavor variety...

Dining at this fine establishment was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this venue was designed with purpose and polish. The layout is thoughtfully executed, boasting a spacious, climate-controlled patio—something truly rare to find, even in Texas. Whether you’re there for a quiet dinner or a private event, the ambiance delivers both elegance and comfort in equal measure.
Its strategic proximity to both Love Field and DFW Airport makes it not only a convenient destination but a standout culinary experience for travelers and locals alike. The interior design strikes a sophisticated balance between modern aesthetics and warm, welcoming touches—each detail clearly intentional.
The menu? Simply outstanding. Each dish is crafted with bold flavor profiles and elevated presentation. The starters alone could easily pass as main courses—hearty, satisfying, and layered with complexity. From the first bite to the last, the culinary team delivers a dining experience that is both refined and deeply satisfying.
What truly elevated the experience was the hands-on leadership. The owner’s (Jeffrey) presence on the floor throughout our event was a powerful gesture of commitment to excellence- oh, shout out to Morgan our event coordinator!! . His heartfelt engagement at each table did not go unnoticed. It set a tone of genuine hospitality that permeated the entire service experience.
The staff mirrored this dedication—attentive, professional, and driven to exceed expectations. Every plate was delivered with care, and the execution was seamless across the board. It’s rare to find this level of operational synergy, and it speaks volumes about the culture of the team behind the scenes.
This wasn’t just a meal—it was a memorable experience powered by passion, design, and relentless attention to detail. A masterclass in guest service and...
Read moreOur family was super excited to try this place way before it even opened. We finally got a chance to go on a Saturday night after calling and making reservations. We were shocked they were able to get us in within the hour, so we showed up and were told they had no clue what happened but there were no tables available. We were quite upset but mistakes happen and we live in the area we went to eat elsewhere. Fast forward to to my husbands bday today, we decided to go celebrate and made reservations to go eat at Los Camino with the kids (party of 4) and got seated right away. We were super excited again. Ambiance was nice and it wasn’t too busy. Started with drinks, not bad typical margarita. It’s Tuesday and they were out of the margarita of the week, week just started lol. Appetizer was the lobster ceviche which was ok but lacked lobster. It was mostly a salad with tiny lobster pieces hidden inside. Ok not bad, it had a kick from the habanero. We ordered fajitas for the kids because they were starving and asked for flour tortillas and they never came out. We asked again mid way and they still never came out. The fajitas were mediocre could find better elsewhere. At this point, we still haven’t ordered because no one came to check in with us to see if we were ready to order. By the time the waitress came back, we were frustrated so we had to close out and come home hungry. The whole point of going out to a birthday dinner especially on a weekday after a long work day is to get fed without hassle. My husband is super disappointed! As much as we would have loved to try the food and spend money at this establishment, we were literally unable to because we spent an hour waiting on someone to come and just speak to us for us to order. We are huge fans of Mi Dia and Mena’s, the food and service is always exceptional even on their busiest days they don’t drop the ball. Best of luck...
