OMG!! SUCH WONDERFUL FOOD, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE!!! Luis felt like he was our Food Concierge for the day! He is respectful, kind & goes well above & beyond expectations!! On customer service alone I'd recommend this place but let's talk FOOD!!
We ordered during lunch type hours and their menu is pretty much dinner sized & priced entrees with leftovers which are great for leftovers for dinner! However, if you inquire they do have a different lunch entree daily. Our food: Shrimp Scampi (Perfection!!) Alfredo Bowl with Chicken Lasagna (YES! Chicken!), Ravioli & Jumbo Shrimp all smothered with LOTS of Alfredo sauce!! (NO, they're not stingy with this beautiful sauce!) Included House & Caeser Salads Side order of mixed vegetables (customized to vegetables we actually like! We're not too fond of squashes. Lol!) Included Garlic Rolls (SOOOO INCREDIBLE!! Trust me, order extras!!) Chocolate drizzled Cheesecake & Tiramisu (sooo decadent!)
The menu was exactly what you'd expect at any great Italian Restaurant with a few surprises thrown in. The atmosphere feels like an Italian outdoor eatery with beautiful decor & comfy chairs.
We will definitely be coming back here because I've already planned my next 2 dinners here! One as a date night & 1 as an outing with all the Girls. And after looking thru the wines offered, wine will definitely be involved! Their wine collection is well suited to Italian food! You can order chilled or room temperature which is great!!
I hope you enjoy this place as...
Read moreNowadays, the survival rate for new eateries is low, even when they hit all the mark's. We decided it was the time to try the takeout fare from Rocco's, in Flower Mound. Our order was placed using the online app in the early evening. The reported time was 14 minutes. Possibly a challenge, but not insurmountable. I arrived, at 15 minutes and was informed it would be another 10 minutes. The time morphed into 30 minutes. During that time I was not informed of any delays. Needless to say, I had a few words of advice for the young man who was, juggling a number of chainsaws, as host, waiter, call-taker, who initially told me 10 minutes. While these types of delays are not altogether uncommon, the courtesy of communicating with a patron, regarding a delay, should not be an unknown concept. The dining room team were busy, bordering on chaotic no doubt, but an update would not have been unreasonable. The food, unfortunately was at best, mediocre. It's a tough business and longevity for success will be challenging. An online ordering application that cannot communicate realistic "ready times", coupled with team members that could not effectively communicate delays to a waiting patron adds up to a level of overall service that will not save, what was an "average" takeout...
Read moreThe food was really good however the dining experience is a little odd and confusing. The previous restaurant there was one where you order at the counter and pick a seat where your food will be brought out to you. The drink station is out in the open and you go and fill up your own drinks as well. Rocco’s has kept the same structure but wants it to be full service. There is no host stand so you just kind of walk up to what is now the to go counter and they tell you pick any table. They need some sort of barrier between the to go section & drink section & the dining area. The food came out and was great. Loved the customizable aspect and got to tailor the menu items to what you were craving. During our meal we needed refills and our server was gone and although we could see the drink station out in the open we felt we couldn’t use it especially when paying for dine in service. Next time would probably just order to go and avoid paying a tip on what was a mediocre...
