Where do i start
My in laws took me and my daughter out for lunch, so why not Shane's. We have been going to this location years ago (under different management) which was always just fantastic.
My mother in law has celiac disease, which for whom does not understand makes eating at local places a nightmare due to the GLUTEN. Which she cannot consume, as it will make her very sick at Shane's it was never an issue. So she orders always the safe food a salad and makes sure staff knows it's gluten free.
They confirm "Yes ma'am it's gluten free" as we are eating, she was halfway done with her salad. And i saw her face turn from joy to complete anger. They sprinkled little crunchy goodness halfway down the pile of salad. She told them, and the answer she got "We only take the bread off" Now mistakes do happen, but this is not an answer you suppose to get from someone who clearly does not understand what GLUTEN FREE entails.
With other words they have no clue what gluten free is suppose to be. And clearly they do not care all to much about it. Why else state it's gluten free why it's clearly NOT gluten free. Mind you, this was in the past never an issue, the manager always took good care of us. And made sure their was nothing on there. As my mother in law is very CLEAR prior to ordering that it HAS TO BE that way.
Then i get my plate, the french fries were all overcooked. Deep brown and as hard as a rock. So i tell the server, these fries i cannot eat them i asked her would you?! She looked at me "Well sir i would eat them" i almost wanted to challenge her to do so. But it's useless to make a scene at a place that remotely does not deserve my business no more. I told her i would write this review and i would talk to a manager.
She told me "The manager is here" i said i would go above her/him for good reason. If you cannot even get fries right, or even the chicken tenders my daughter had (DRY and OVERCOOKED) which seems to be consistent with other reviews here. Why is the manager already not at my table and making things right. Instead i have to deal with a teenager, that does not know how deal with problems clearly enough.
Sorry, i used to love Shane's and i still do i will not let one bad location kill that for me or my family. But that location, avoid it all cost it's really that...
Read moreCalled to place an order over the phone and initially asked to place 3 separate orders for pick up and the lady (didn’t get her name) responded with “oh my goodness..” in such a rude tone. I then told her that if it was a problem then she can just put it all on one order. I was trying to make it less conplicated for her. Although, she should be the one trying to help a customer. She then told me to hold and a different employee came on the phone, he said his name was “Mohamed” and he took my order and I had to repeat it all again, first of all, second of all, he was just as rude. When I finished stating my order he asked “is that all?” And when I said “yes, that’s all thank you”, he just hung up and didn’t even give me a total or estimated time of when it’s be ready. I had to call back because he just rudely hung up. And he again, was so dismissive and rude. Horrible service. I understand you may be busy or overwhelmed, I’ve worked in the restaurant industry before and understand that. But that’s no excuse to take it out on loyal customers. Especially if I was not being rude, I let a lot of it slide and didn’t return the rude tone of voice because I get it. But it’s just unacceptable, grow up, learn how to handle your emotions and treat people with respect. So unacceptable. And i can confidently say my family and I will never dine here again. Read moreCan't say anything about food I never got it.I will say beware dealing with Shane's delivery especially this one the staff was rude and not helpful at all!All they do is pass the buck when they are responsible who delivers the food but will try and turn it around like it's your fault!I got an email from this saying there was a response from Mgr which doesn't show here about how they reached out and tried to replace meal which I didn't want and that is an out right lie!The attempt to replace meal only resulted in the same thing happening again !First time yall tried to deliver food to Gainesville medical ctr the attempt to make up meal was delivered to a hotel somewhere in Gainesville!After reading all the horrible reviews about this location I'm glad I never got your food!Behind every cloud is a silver lining!😂🤣😅Their Barbie marketing director called to inform me if I wanted to use their pitiful coupons I'd have to use the app but first call the restaurant and mention the name Anthony to the employee and I'd be taken care of!I thought Sopranos was a thing of the past but this must be the code word for the drop it on the floor and spit on it twice...
