Bojangles — Restaurant in Flowood

I recently visited the new Bojangles restaurant in Flowood on its opening day, eager to experience what this well-known chain had to offer. I ambitiously tried their breakfast and dinner menus, hoping for a standout culinary experience. For breakfast, I sampled a variety of their biscuit sandwiches - chicken, sausage egg and cheese, bacon egg and cheese, and steak. While none of these were bad, they were just okay, reminiscent of standard fare from chains like Carl's Jr. or Hardee's. They lacked a distinctive quality that could set them apart. Dinner I focused on their chicken tenders and again, the chicken tenders were middle-of-the-road, comparable to what you might find at KFC or Popeye's, but they didn't offer anything unique or superior in taste. Unfortunately, the ice cream machine wasn't working, so I missed out on trying their shakes. As for the sides, the french fries and mac and cheese were quite flavorless, and the dirty rice, despite having good meat, was similarly bland. Overall, Bojangles seems to cater to those who prefer less adventurous, very standard flavors. My excitement for a new dining option was met with a rather ordinary experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went to the Bojangles in Flowood, MS, and ordered a 6-piece Chicken Bites Combo, specifically asking for my food to be cooked fresh. Instead, I received old chicken tenders—not the correct item. When I told the worker at the window, she rudely insisted they were “bites” and refused to replace them. She only changed out the fries and gave me back the same old chicken.

When I asked for a refund, I was told, “We don’t do refunds,” with an attitude. I asked for a manager, and she said, “You looking at her,” even though she was dismissive and unprofessional. Another person (allegedly a manager) came to the window and promised a refund but never returned. I sat in the drive-thru for 30 minutes while other cars were served around me and I was ignored.

Eventually, the first rude employee came back and handed me only $8.08 instead of the $8.55 I paid. After all that time and frustration, I still didn’t get the full amount back.

The entire experience was unacceptable. Terrible customer service, no accountability, and a complete lack of professionalism. Do better, Bojangles...

We jumped on the Bo train. Got there 30 minutes before they closed, online said all day breakfast, and bone in chicken so we wanted both of those, neither were available. That's fine, so I asked the person working when they'll be getting bone-in, and breakfast all day, she said this location won't be getting it 😔 My fast food king said "Why they give us half a chain?" 😅😆

I ended up getting the grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon, and Mac n cheese. He got the 5 piece tenders with fries, includes a biscuit. My sandwich was slightly too mayo-ey so I'll ask for less mayo next time (just my preference), chicken and fries weren't hot, so my cheese didn't melt, but we came end of night, maybe they were fixing to close. They forgot my bacon, but quickly fixed that. Tenders were big and juicy, nicely seasoned as well! Some small kinks to work out, but that's a given at any new place. Always give new places some grace, they'll have it worked out.
