Terrible lunch! The girl couldn't even make a sandwich right!! No spread on the bread. Put lettuce on instead of sprouts, thickness of one slice of bread was not equal to the other slice of bread. She pressed the avocado into the bread with her fingers so hard, she tore the bread. Then she took a plastic knife and started cutting up the slices of avocado and pressing them a second and third time into the bread. The bread was not even that fresh, probably was left over from the day before. My friend ordered a turkey sandwich on sourdough and he wound up with a panini that had grilled basil on it. The soup was over sweet and I had to request croutons for the soup twice. It took forever for them to even take our order and they kept asking us repeatedly after we told them what we wanted. Went to the silverware bin and pulled out two dirty knives and one dirty fork on the first try! The only decent thing seemed to be our Fountain drinks. I do not recommend this LaBou. Other LaBou's have it dialed in. The one at Folsom needs serious help, and I do not recommend it; I will never go back. Oh, by the way, our lunch was $28 for two sandwiches, one small soup, and two Fountain drinks and...
Read moreIt pains me to write this. I love La. Bou food. Soups and salads and sandwiches are excellent. I have eaten lunch here a couple times a week for maybe 15 years. With that background in mind, my one star review is due to their new ordering process. It used to be that you ordered from the person who made your food. There were maybe four people taking orders and making food. Now, they have changed this such that there is a single person taking orders. This takes so much more time that I literally turn around and leave if there’s more than two customers in line. I just can’t take it anymore. I have probably walked away 20 or 30 times in the last six months. I am done. Ordering hair is like watching paint dry. Please fix this and go back to the way it was. If they do I will turn this one star into...
Read moreI was so happy to see an open La Bou Bakery & Cafe!! They were busy, but no line. The young lady at the register quickly took my order but when I asked for two of their fabulous chocolate chip cookies, she looked in the case and there were only two oatmeal raisin. She sensed my disappointment and told me to hold on a sec while she checked on something. When she returned I was informed there was a fresh batch being baked and they would be ready in five minutes. Of course I waited! My order and cookies were ready at almost the same time. The ham and cheese panini was perfect and the Caesar salad was plentiful. I got the dill dressing to dip the bread slices. Everything was delicious, especially the warm chocolate chip cookie! Will definitely...
