Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Folsom

I ordered a small size of “The Works” original thick crust with six slices.

The store is in a nice commercial location with spacious parking spaces. No homeless people in front of the stores. Safe neighborhood!

Next door is the Taiwanese 99 Ranch grocery store if you plan on shopping for Asian goodies – teas, dumplings, roast pork, etc..

Online ordering is a breeze. My order was waiting for me when I walked in.

I walked in and was greeted by a staff member and promptly got my pizza.

The pizza looked great. Really thick but not too heavy crust. The crust itself is above average in taste. Nice thickness and crispiness.

The pizza toppings are generous and you don’t need a magnifying glass to look for them. They’re there big time. I confirmed that there is pepperoni, ham, green peppers, Italian sausage, mushroom on my pizza! 😊

The signature sauce was just right and didn’t make the pizza soggy. Though I think it could be a bit more zestier. I prefer a pronounced spicy tomato flavor.

If you’re hypertensive, I think this pizza is not too salty so no worries there.

Overall, Marcos is a nice go to pizza place for your pizza cravings. The small pizza cost me ~$13. It was plenty for 2-3 adults. I wish they would have more stores closer to my area in Rancho Cordova or Gold River that...

Ordered their deluxe pizza 12" First time ordering from here. Waited for the pizza as it was a last-minute decision to try it... The owner and worker were both cordial, and chatted with us while we waited . Clean place. But... let's talk about the pizza! Pleasantly surprised. The pizza felt heavy, yet the crust was light, not burned, not soggy, not too thick or thin - just right. Not Papa bear, not mama bear, it was baby bear perfect! Veggies were fresh, large slices/pieces, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. The sausage pieces were huge as well. The pepperoni wasn't overbearing, either. None of the toppings were soggy or overcooked, or too small. The sauce was delicious. Barely tasted it - another nice surprise. Almost all pizza places just glop the sauce on, and the toppings swim in the sauce, sliding off, leaving a gooey, sloppy mess. 🫤 The whole pizza was well balanced. Not too much or too little of anything. Cheese = So. Much. Cheese. Hot and stringy as you separated the slices, which were cut all the way through into even...

The food is good, the service is not. I ordered 2 pizzas a breadstick and 3 drinks. I ordered a garden pizza w/ chicken, and a Hawaiian with onions. We had this delivered and only realized after our guests started eating how wrong the order was. Insteas of a garden (which has white sauce) it was a plain cheese with chicken on it. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, all I wanted was a Hawaiian pizza, not their Hawaiian chicken, yet I received a Hawaiian chicken (not what I ordered). I called to let them know they messed up the order (the receipt was correct though). After speaking to a couple people, they said they were going to reimburse us for the order, yet a week has gone by and there has been no reimbursement to our account.

I won't lie, the 2 other times I got them the food was good. But to mess up the order, say you will do something and don't us enough for us to not order from them and to share my experience...
