The snowflakes that are running the location this morning are too busy telling each other about Friday night's adventures and flirting with each other to perform their job.
One of two vehicle on the entire property, and I tried to utilize the drive through window. The young man that came to the window didnt greet me, return my greeting, or even smile when I asked for a pen. I was told to pull to a different lane and there would be a pen in the capsule.
I went inside to speak with whomever was in charge. They didn't know who was so the young lady with too much makeup that the young man was busy flirting with decided it would be her. Long story short they tried to sell me some fluff about that I could have caused an accident by trying to use that lane with people behind at the ATM. The ATM is forty feet plus from the window. The lane is marked ATM, not ATM only and as such I attempted to use it. My vehicle doesn't fit in the bubble lanes....
I did eventually get a half hearted apology for how I felt, not for the lack of customer service or helping with my account. I left Verve in the same status I was at when I got there. I had a check to cash and still did after two encounters with the snow flakes. I went to Chase bank instead - where I dont even have an account. Funny enough they were fabulous.
This follows an incident where Verve did not make the payment to the company handling their mortgages for me and somehow lossing $1500 for two days. To the accounting department's credit they did find the funds and correct the issue within two hours of my call but it took Midwest Loan Services call to me and an hour on the phone to get the ball rolling. The funds were returned to a general ledger instead of my account. There is supposed to be an automated process to handle this type of situation but it didnt happen. My accounts showed the money paid but the payment didnt actually occur.
Now I have to decide if i will continue to be treated as I was today with the amount of business that I do with this institution, or if I should pull everything and go somewhere else. I will be contacting the CFO for Verve on Monday to see if he can explain why I should continue to utilize...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed and hurt by how Verve handled a recent fraud situation on my account. Almost $2000 was stolen from me through multiple unauthorized transactions from different states — clearly suspicious activity that should have raised red flags.
When I reported the fraud, I was told, “We don’t know why it wasn’t flagged,” and was simply handed off to a third-party number to dispute the charges. No one in the branch or on the phone could offer any actual help or solution. I wasn’t offered any reassurance, any support, or even a temporary resolution — just told I had to wait 15 days to find out if I’ll get a provisional credit.
Worse, even after reporting the fraud, they still allowed pending fraudulent charges to go through. That money was my paycheck and rent — gone, with zero urgency or responsibility taken by the credit union.
I’ve banked here with trust, but clearly their fraud protection is unreliable, and their response to victims is cold and dismissive. If you rely on your account for bills, rent, or daily life — please reconsider banking here. I’m sharing this to warn others: if this can happen to me with no help, it can...
Read moreWORST CREDIT UNION EVER. No one ever knows what is going on there and never knows how to answer or help with simple questions. I was getting charged double for something monthly and they said it wasn't them when in fact it was when I was able to prove it was on their end. I have had 7 (SEVEN) debit cards cancelled in the last 4 years for potential fraud because they never called or texted to ask if I tried to buy an item like they are supposed to. None of it was fraud and I could have confirmed it was me if they would have contacted me like they were supposed to. They are supposed to call or text to see if it was you making the purchase before cancelling your card, but they NEVER contacted me and just cancelled it. Left me stranded without a working card numerous places where I couldn't buy food or pay for an Uber in Nashville. I let them know I am traveling to different states before going and they still cancel my card on me even after I told. Them. Never bank with them. Run for the hills. Community first credit union is great-...
