Let me start this review by saying that I am a REGULAR, REPEAT customer so the issue is not with the food. The food is actually good. The reason I am writing this review is because of the flat out poor treatment on 5/18/17.
As I stated, I am a regular, and many of the young workers who work the counter know me. I always give them tips, and converse with them. Today, it was a different young lady working there that I have never encountered (or I think she was there once but I didn't deal directly with her). I had a call in order, and went to pick it up. When I arrived -- and paid -- she told me that it was not ready. This was unusual but I saw that the counter was empty, so I went to sit in the car with my associate. Keep in mind, it was already 20 minutes after my call. Their pizza is usually ready in 10-15 minutes.
After sitting in the car for 5+ minutes and seeing the young lady continuously stare at me in my car -- and after noticing them placing orders on the takeout counter -- I went back in. The young lady was now joined with another young girl she was apparently training. The trainee said hi to me, and the original young lady simply looked and then ignored me. I saw 3 pizza boxes on the takeout counter, and some other orders. I knew one of them was mine, but sat down and waited.
Another 5-10 minutes went by and I asked the young lady if my order was ready yet because it was nearly 40+ minutes since my order was placed. She pretended to look at the receipts on each order, then said "No". I said, "That's strange" and sat back down. 7 minutes goes by, and I witnessed her with my very own eyes GRAB THE SAME PIZZA BOX THAT SHE JUST SAID WAS NOT MINE and tell me that "your order is ready". She didn't even look at the receipt because she already saw that it was mine 7 minutes before.
Not to cause a scene in the store, I simply got up, grabbed my pizza and exited the store. As I was driving off, I called the store back and asked to speak to the manager (who I believe to be an owner). The young lady initially said "There was no manager". I told her that I know there is one in there, and she could then be heard speaking to someone. She responded that "I can leave her a message", and I told her that "I will not", and "that I wanted to speak with the manager or someone of rank". Her last response was "Give her a number where they could call me back". I hung up.
I proceeded to turn around, drive back over to their Forest Drive location and went back inside with the pizza. As soon as I came in, the manager/owner says "That was you on the phone? I'm just too busy to speak to you on the phone". I told him I'd wait, and after a minute he came from out kitchen area. He asked what the issue was and started to look at the pizza, but I explained that the pizza was fine. I told him the story (while the young lady stood there) and his response was "So what do you want me to do?".
No folks, this was not in a legitimate helpful form. He shrugged his shoulders and said it in a snarky way. All I wanted him to say was "I'll talk to her" or some form of acknowledgement. I know this man knows exactly who I am, because I've seen him every week for how long? So my response was pretty simple. I told him to "keep the pizza and the money". Here we are now, reading my review.
I feel like there's an underlying reason for why they THINK they can treat me that way, but I'm never one to go that route. But, I'll say it. Me being a young black male may have had something to do with it. Who knows. All I know is I am also a small business owner, with WAY more money than this guy, and WAY more connections than he probably assumed when he brushed me off. Hope it's worth it in...
Read moreThis place used to be my number one spot for pizza. There is a schianos on two notch but always favored the one on forest drive. However, this time around the food was not worth the $43 dollars I spent. I spent $12 on muscles in marinara sauce and more than half the bowl had closed muscles and even some that had opened, didn't even have any sauce on it. There's no way that many muscles were uncooked but maybe they weren't since some of the muscles weren't even cooked in the sauce. The guy with the glasses working the cash register with the girl was very polite in checking with the kitchen after I told him about the muscles. When they brought out the "new muscles" it seemed they removed all the closed ones and brought back the opened ones in a smaller bowl with half the marina sauce gone. I had half the size of what I ordered. I ordered veggie calzone no mushrooms for my daughter and when it came out, it was filled with onions, peppers, and unfortunately mushrooms. She spent extra time opening her calzone and picking them out. I went up front to tell the girl behind the register and she pulled out my receipt and said nothing to me so I just sat back down and told my daughter she didnt say anything im sorry just try to eat around them. 10 min later another veggie calzone came out filled with ricotta, no mushrooms and olives here and there. No onions and no peppers, basically no veggies.
. I'm a paying customer and expect to get what I paid for. It's not my fault that my order was wrong and that my muscles were uncooked or dead. Had there been 4 or 5 unopened I wouldn't have mentioned it. I am not unreasonable. . My family shouldn't be punished for your mistake. If another veggie calzone needed to be made , then do it 10x better than last time to make up for the error. What's wrong with kindly mentioning you added something I specifically asked not to be added. If its a problem Just don't make a new one and refund me my money. . I could do without the attitude of the girl at the register whom did not communicate with me that she asked for another calzone or apologize like most people in customer service do. I would have gladly respectfully spoken to the manager. Then have to deal with the passive aggressive girl behind the counter.
. I didn't mention the two cheese slices were not great. But good enough for my 7 year old. The cheese wasn't even melty just plastered on there. Like I saw in another review. You would think they would treat twin...
Read moreI only give this a 1 ⭐️ only because the pizza is decent but the customer service is less than desirable and so why would I want to give my money to an establishment who has horrible customer service or respect for his customers.
I kinda grew up on schiano’s pizza. We had one right beside my highschool and so it was very nostalgic to be back now with my family. Our first visit was a great experience and the pizza was just liked I remembered but, it was the second visit that did us in. We order at the counter, we sat, we immediately got our salad and when we were done we noticed another family showed up. Our sons pizza was dropped off then immediately the other family had a pizza dropped off at their table. We wondered how this could be we still haven’t gotten ours and they just literally sat down. I first thought they may have pre-ordered on the phone so I went to ask and nope our pizza was delivered to them. We were told that we could have their pizza or have the one we order made again. (Why would we want another pizza that had nothing we liked on it? ) While waiting we noticed the manager/owner going to the other table and apologizing for giving them the wrong pizza and offering to have the one they ordered boxed for them. We never even received an apology even though we were the ones left waiting almost an hour for a pizza that was given to another table. Piss poor and we will not be supporting this business nor will we be recommending this business to...
