not very impressed. My wife and I decided to try this place out for dinner. I ordered the "Deluxe burger" and my wife ordered the "cowboy burger" they were $12 each. we also ordered a side of onion rings as Nothing comes with the burgers, except the burger themselves for $12!!! When the food arrived in brown boxes, we opened them up to get a peek. the buns were large, 5" across and fresh and soft. I opened my purger to get a peek at it, and was very disappointed. there were 2 patties inside which barely reached 1/2" in thickness in the center combined. there was a 1/2-3/4 inch ring of bun from the edge of the bun to my burger, so the burger patties were only about 3-3/4" in diameter. I did find 2 small approximately 2" long pieces of bacon under the whopping 1-2 teaspoons of caramelized onions. the burger was very dry and lackluster in taste. My wifes burger had about 1 cup of bbq sauce on top, so that when she picked it up to bite into it, the entire inside of the box it came in was filled . she was only able to eat about 1/2 of the burger before the entire thing just came apart and was unable to be picked up by hand because it was just such a sloppy mess.
There were 12 onion rings in an order for $5 they were large in size and decent., nothing to write home about. not greasy, but just run of the mill onion rings.. they came with a dipping sauce that was different tasting. It wasnt bad, just not good either.
I also have to talk about the atmosphere, literally. We went at about 430 Monday night and it was 21 outside. I am normally a very warm person and like it cold, but it was freezing inside the restaurant. I bet it was only 60 degrees in there. a couple of the employees were even wearing stocking hats inside while out in the dining area.
For just under $35 we were not impressed at all. The burgers were $6 quality and size. If prices were more in line with the food, we will go back, but we don't see ourselves going back. we really wanted to like this place after hearing many good things about the WBL one.
You can get a much better deal down the road a few doors at Culvers. way to overpriced for...
Read moreI had the cajun chicken pasta. The flavor was pretty good and would recommend that. I love the convenience of the QR code on the check that allows you to pay on your mobile is super convenient. The menu is HUGE. A friend of mine got some sort of wrap and he said the steak in there was amazing and was really good.
The overall restaurant and bar setup is... weird. We had a big group and they put us at this looooong table that was oddly situated between the drink filling station (water/pop) and the bathrooms. The door to both the men's/ladies' room was literally about 3 feet directly behind us. They are single-use bathrooms, so if you don't lock the door by accident, look out. Once during our meal, a little boy had gone in to use the restroom and one of the employees needed to use it. He opened the door, and there stood the kid. Not his fault (the kid or the server)... but honestly, we don't want to see someone using the bathroom while we are eating.
The service wasn't that great either. A friend had a bug in her drink -- no big deal, it happens -- but when she explained it to the waitress, she just looked at her and never said sorry or anything. While she didn't say it... the look on her face was "...and... so?!?" Yes, she did bring it back and made a new one, but just didn't seem to really care. They only came to check on our drink situation when most of us were 3/4 of the way through our meal (or done)... and at that point, most of us said no.
Another friend ordered a rice bowl and it never came because it mistakenly went to the wrong table. Then the person that had brought the food out went on break and my friend had to go up to the kitchen and explain it herself before they found out and they made a new one for her.
All of this with a grain of salt... it was on a Friday and the place was packed and we had a big party, so I get it.
Perhaps in the summertime it'd be nicer since they'd have more outdoor...
Read moreNothing good to say about this place. Food sucked, wait staff sucked and the whole atmosphere was just lousy, we weren't even told about the "daily specials" or anything similar. We were just asked what to drink and handed menus. The wife's chicken sandwich was dry like they cooked it from frozen even though we were told it was fresh, NOT! It's pretty easy to tell when frozen food is used in lieu of fresh, especially chicken. My so called "steak bites" with Alfredo were not "bites" they were more like chunks cut from steak and then some were over cooked, (the char shows it all, some were rare, some were medium well), but hey at least the pasta was decent and edible. Not once did our server come back to ask if everything was good, did we need anything or the such. When someone did come ask, my wife stated how dry and tough her chicken was and asked to have a burger instead, which if made fresh shouldn't take but 6-7 minutes, not the almost 15 we waited. Needless to say, by the time we got it, I was done eating and we were ready to leave so asked for it to go. Mind you, most of the time our so called server was busy making sure some of her "regulars" that were there got taken care of promptly and their food was on the table in no time. We weren't charged for the chicken sandwich, but we definitely were charged for the burger, which is also an obvious frozen burger patty and not made fresh as we were told. But hey, we got a $5 discount on our bill.🙄🙄 We chose this place to try something new, and the reviews had us believing it would be decent. The menu is large and out dated as well, as is evident by the items that are crossed off instead of just getting new menus made???? They have what they call an outdoor patio, but from the looks of all the dead grass and what not, I wouldn't eat out there either. I would avoid this place at all costs and go down the road to Perkins before...
