Samantha and one of the store owners I believe. I had an unexpectedly beautiful experience at this liquor store that I just have to share. I had been going through a rough personal moment and decided to stop in for a few small bottles. I walked in with my shades on trying to hide my puffy eyes and was immediately greeted by Samantha at the register. She asked me how are you you know normal entrance greeting I admitted I wasn’t feeling great, she instantly asked if I wanted a hug. I was caught off guard because not most people response is to give a hug but I didn’t hesitate maybe I really needed one. Samantha gave me the warmest, tightest hug, holding me like a mom would. I couldn’t help but cry I guess god knew I needed that hug and funny how all places I’m breaking down in the liquor store lmao story of my life but I felt safe and cared for something I don’t often feel in public spaces. The kindness and compassion of everyone behind the counter made the store feel like a safe and welcoming place.we even sat and talked about what was wrong and they gave me some loving advice in that brief moment it made my heart smile and actually cheered me up I felt SEEN lol all at this liquor store This encounter reminded me how powerful small acts of human kindness can be. We need more people like Samantha and the Store owners in this world. Thank you for turning a small errand run into a truly memorable and healing...
Read moreThere are multiple contradictory signs posted on the drive-thru window that state you will be charged $0.50 for spending less than a specific amount and / or for using your debit or credit card - but there is NO FEE for coming inside and making a debit or credit card purchase that gets rung up on the SAME machine the drive-thru uses!!! I know because I asked for clarification on this point and the response made no sense to me. This practice is what the business owner chooses to do, but it's a matter of principle for me. Why not just say you're charging customers for the convenience of using the drive-thru and take both the spending minimum and method of payment out of the equation. Better yet, you can keep all your merchandise and I'll keep all my money...
Read moreI went into Shopwise at 5:15 pm on September 11, 2024. I just left there, got home and happened to check my receipt. They charged me an extra 50 cents drive thru fee (I was inside the store when I made my purchase) and another 47 cents for a “no cash adjustment”. What the hell is this Shopwise? It wasn’t worth it to use my $3 of gasoline to drive back and complain about a dollar but are you resorting to scamming the regular customers? I spend $15-$20 a week inside this establishment and expect better than to be scammed by your cashiers. I won’t be back for awhile as there is a package store on highway 138 that is about as close to me as Shopwise. I am seriously...
