Bulls Steakhouse — Restaurant in Forest

The only above average mark I could give Bulls is high marks for service. My wife and I have been to Bulls for a quick meal multiple times. On these occasions, I generally ordered their hamburger. Nothing to rave about it was adequate. Once on a Friday night I ordered the prime rib which Bulls only serves on the weekend. This led me to think it must be good as it's served at a special time, the weekend! Well, it was tough and overcooked and tough. I ordered medium rare was more like medium well. Not good.

A couple of weeks passed and my wife and I needed a quick meal. Here we are on a Saturday night back at Bulls. I looked at the menu and thought, 'the prime rib must've been a one off.' For what they charge for a prime rib, I should've just passed it up. I looked at my wife and said, 'it's a steakhouse, it couldn't have been as bad as I remembered.' Silly me, I ordered it again, medium rare. When it arrived, I looked at it and laughed as the server left our table. It was an end cut with the slightest tinge of pink. I stabbed it with my fork looking it over. It was stiff as a piece of wood. And YES, it was dry, dry dry and tough, tough, tough.

I could've raise a ruckus, but thought I would have more fun writing a review to warn others to pass this place up if you want prime rib.

Love my food wouldn't give four stats if it weren't for Julie the manager for saving the day. I placed an order specified what I wanted and didn't want on my salad wasn't told they didn't have what I wanted until I got to my car looked and wasn't on my salad so I requested money back or another salad but since the lady told Jimmy the manager when I walked away that it was my fault and she told me on the phone they didn't have it. It left a bittersweet taste in my mouth to say I had lied and not assume responsibility for not telling me and putting Bleu cheese on it instead of feta. But Julie I believe her name was or Julia the manager came and agreed to give me a salad and my money back and totally fixed it great customer service skills!!!!! So now I'll be back because of her, great skills because I'm expecting expecting a baby and when I crave I'll pay for whatever I want wherever it's available, so expecting a baby and not getting what I request is a huge bummer but she completely fixed the issue! My baked spaghetti was great and my salad...

Trying to get an honest opinion out on this restaurant. Not sure if the restrictions on establishments are doing this but we were told 25 minute wait, actually was 50 minutes.

FINALLY Got in, sat down made order, and Wife's salad seemed to be pretty good but was odd with almonds on it.

Made order @ 7:50, food came to table @ 8:25.

Now, the good part of this review, the 12 oz sirloin was really good...and I don't like sirloin steak! I had fries with it and man, they were the best ones I have had at a "sit-down" restaurant. My wife was very pleased with the Prime Rib see got. The dessert was really good too!

Our service once seated was very good.

I say all of this to say that I am willing (the next time I am in this area) to give them another shot at showing me that the customers time is just as valuable as the time they spend making the food that good.
