Read moreBeautiful and wonderful atmosphere, service was friendly but definitely pressured. Most importantly however is the food.
I ordered the $21 grilled peach balsamic "salad" and it was more just a pile of plain lettuce a couple tasted pumpkin seeds and hardly anything else to make it a "sald". No anything else except a few thin slices of radish in which bugs had eaten out the center and began to rot (top right corner in picture).
Put something in it other than plain single strain lettuce. Then the peach was literally green, bitter and immature not ripe at all or even close. I let that slide as they were in a rush and I was hungry. So then came the bread and butter. The bread was pretty great actually however the butter they served it with was a local large Corporate farm (which is alright in most cases) however it had such a high melting point as it's made from milk not cream that it felt and tasted like hydrogenated soy or corn oil margarine.
It's as if the chef or manager had never tasted or tried real butter made from cream (or heavy whipping cream) or they had and still allowed this to be served to save money in a place where people dont care what it costs we just want quality food. Could definitely use a better butter or olive oil.
With in reasonable and good timing then came the scallops and pork belly which was indeed tasty and I'd definitely recommend and eat again nothing but compliments on those. sources.
The hot sauce was just a hot vinegar with no flavor.
However, the ricotta pasta which was a very small portion and very bland. The lemon butter flavor it was supposed to be was not to be found for even a hint. Very disappointed.

You can also get the fabulous sit down lunch menu in Beaujolais... we ordered the lasagna (house made Béchamel sauce sauce + housemade noodles) and it was excellent!! Secret tip: You can order your lunch to go and eat it out in the garden with your pizza!
As far as dinner goes, I’ve eaten the local cod with ravioli there the last two visits because it is that good!! My fav wine is actually their inexpensive French red by the glass. End your fabulous meal with some French press coffee and one of their delectable desserts!
And! Don’t forget to take home a loaf of their fresh baked bread! My favorite of all favorites is the country sourdough! Mike the bread baker does an exceptional job! Loaves are crusty on the outside and chewy moist on the inside. You might as well get 2 because you will probably eat one in the car on the way home and then you’ll be bummed you don’t have one to toast up & have with your eggs in...
