Looking for a taste of Italy while in Mendocino?? You will find it here. This is not your average Italian joint...it's unique and charming and serves up amazing food. My wife and I were in town celebrating our anniversary and I really want to take her to a great restaurant. I had a radius from Fort Bragg to Little River. There were a few that made the list, but we were so glad we chose Luna.

First of all you don't just show up...you have to call in to make a reservation for either a 5 or 7 pm seating. Don't show up thinking because you believe you deserve a table you should get one...you must make a reservation ahead of time.

There is an upstairs and a downstairs...stairs are not bad, but the person taking the reservation may ask you if stairs are an issue. Upstairs was very cool...next time I would like to sit downstairs. Live music downstairs was very enjoyable and we could appreciate it from the loft.

Service was exemplary. We had a very good waitress and another young lady that checked in on us frequently. The atmosphere was very chill and friendly.

The food as I said was too notch...authentic and so fresh and full of flavor. I had the linguine and clams. Wow...the sauce was perfection...the pasta was cooked perfectly and the clams were fresh and flavorful. Plenty of bread for soaking up that juice too! My wife had a green ravioli pasta with a porchini mushroom stuffing...it was very unique, and a family recipe. Delicious X10!

Dessert was tiramisu and creme brulee served with a pair of cappuccinos. My favorite was the creme brulee, but they were both very good.

This is a very special place that you must try. Everything was good, there were no problems with anything. I can't wait to go back with my wife for another...
