We used to like their food and could rate 4.5 at least, but not anymore. Their food quality tanked and honestly i have to wonder if they, or at least current kitchen chef or management really knows what Japanese food is. (My spouse and I lived in Japan for over 10 years and we know what Japanese food is.) Ordered a takeout of a combo plate with shrimp and vege tempura. They used to cook very good tempura before but not any more. In fact, it is NOT even Tempura but it is called "batter-fried", if they don't know the cooking terminology - they do not use tempura flour, it is just flour, and honestly they should quit calling it Tempura, because it is not , except shrimp tempuras that are probably prepared somewhere else before coming to their kitchen. Tiny pieces of yams covered by 1 inch thick batter and overcooked to brown. Deep fried and it is immediately packed in a styrofoam container, so the container melted and made holes, which is a health hazard. (See a photo of those "Tempra"s and holes.) They could not even place a small piece of foil underneath? They increased prices, removed some items from a combo plates, (my oder was a choice of shrimp tempura or dumplings) , our takeout dinner plates no longer came with salads and miso soup. We aren't sure if they cut the corner too much and think they can fool customers who are not familiar with japanese food, or if they genuinely don't know what some of japanese foods are, but we are not interested in eating there anymore.

This place was fantastic! I ate the BEST Sesame chicken and General Tso's chicken I had ever had in North America! Yeah I've eaten Chinese food in Canada, Mexico and in Chinatowns in San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York. The sesame chicken was very lightly battered, airy and fried to a pleasant crispness -- yet tender on the inside. My wife had the General Tso's chicken and it was cooked with the same characteristics! That tells me that their preparation methods are consistent! The only difference between General Tso's and Sesame chicken was the former was solid lightly fried chicken pieces vs. the latter being lightly fried chicken slices. Let's now talk about service at this place. The service was impeccable, fast and super attentive! Our server was awesome and I was highly impressed by his friendly demeanor and attentiveness. I highly recommend this restaurant! I know I plan to visit this place often!

Amazing Asian food with tons of options for seafood lovers, poultry fans, and even vegetarians! Amazing service, food, and atmosphere made nearly two hours feel like a matter of minutes! Prices may seem high but they come with both soup and salad and the portions are HUGE! Loads of amazing items on the menu. Boba in more flavors than I could even count! Food may take some time to come out but it is all clearly freshly made. The large menu seemed daunting but the waitress was quick to answer all questions and give suggestions an item for nearly every category. The food was overall delicious and it was a great experience. I suggest this to anyone who loves trying different forms of cuisine. Definitely the best Japanese place in Northern Colorado. I suggest the Ramen, Sesame Chicken, California Rolls, Gyozas, and the Tempura Ice Cream.

Mt Fuji has great sushi but the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. They are always understaffed and you can guarantee that you will wait an hour plus for your food. I have been eating at mt Fuji for years but after my last experience I will never be going back. I ordered take out on Valentines day they told me it would be an hour wait to pick up my food which was fine when I arrived an hour + later my food was still not done. A half hour later when I did get my food I realized that half my order was not in the bag nor did they charge me for it. I called the restaurant very upset for all the time I waited they didn't even get half my order made. However when I called back they said they would refund my money for the inconvenience. About a week later when my money was still not returned I called to see how long it would be I was never called back. I called again and was told that they did not do any take out orders that night, which was completely false and I was not the only one waiting for a take out order. I was also told that they were not going to do anything and they were not interested in doing anything to get me to come back. When I said that the customer service they I experienced was terrible all I was told was that it was not their fault because they were...

I really wanted to like this place and rarely have bad reviews to give. But we went on a sunday night, there were 2 servers on staff and never more than 5 occupied tables. Service and kitchen were both slow, our server (a guy) was not attentive, and then nearly every single roll came out incorrectly. I am allergic to avocado and ordered two rolls without. Both came with avocado and one came out as maki instead of a handroll we had ordered. This is particularly ridiculous because they use those papers where you mark what you want on them, and we did that clearly marking no avocado and circling the handroll option, and then ALSO made this clear to our server, but it still came out wrong. Then we got a bonzai roll and instead of sesame seeds on top (as the menu states) it came out with this awful smoke spice all over that completely overpowered the taste of the tuna, tempura, tobiko, and sauce in the roll. I can’t describe how strong it was and I still have the taste in my mouth an hour later despite eating other food to try and mask the taste. We told our server what a poor experience it was and he apologized and blamed the kitchen but didn’t do anything to try to make it right. Not even like a free dessert or comping the rolls that were made wrong. $80+ for a really...
