Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Fort Collins

Consistently lousy and should be avoided, in my opinion. I work nearby and wish the place were better, as I would patronize it frequently. I have tried it several times, thinking that the first time was a fluke. My experiences are consistent with other poor reviews. I enjoy Blizzards and have been to dozens of DQs but they seem to cut corners consistently at this location. The ice cream is too soft and oozy, they use some funky-tasting chocolate sauce and the portion of candy in the item is so minuscule that it hardly counts. The most lamentable thing is that the owner must champion this process because I have been served by different staff spanning upward of 18 months and the result is always the same. I won't be giving them any more chances... The only upside that I can think of is that it appears to be clean and well maintained. We arrived at 9:48 (Friday 8/19), planning to grab something quickly and eat outside since we knew the location was closing at 10pm. As I said, it was 9:48, but the open sign was off, and I stayed in the car, but watched my son and his friend try to go in. The door was locked, and an employee looked at my son and his friend and just shook her head at them. And the proceed to return to playing rock, paper, scissors with her two coworkers. Closing early seems to be a common complaint for this location, so I'm really surprised that no one has fixed this issue yet. I can only assume that no one...

We've never had a bad experience at this location. If there is another avenue to take this review, I couldn't find it and I'd love to know. My family and I visited last night and everything was just fine until I tasted my blizzard. I ordered the peach cobbler and there were definitely chunks of chocolate in it. I happen to be one of the few people in the universe allergic to chocolate, so it did cause me some discomfort. I've never had another issue, but it did make me concerned about other cross-contamination issues.
