We went last night at 3 am for my teenager's birthday. She'd been asking for months to go. When we arrived the waitress, Jarissa, was sleeping in a booth. The cook was finally able to wake her. We sat down and ordered drinks, Jarissa came back 5 minutes later and said "all I remember is that you ordered water." We said no and repeated our drink order. 5 minutes later she brought us drinks,75% correct, and slammed them on the table. Next, she kept asking us why we were there. I said that it was my daughter's birthday and she said that her birthday wish was that everyone would go to Hell. We tried to order food, she was confused by our order and I reiterated it multiple times, she also told us to not order a milkshake because she didn't feel like scooping ice cream. When she finally brought the food, half of it was missing and or wrong, and she yelled at me because she forgot parts of our order. She said that was the end of her ticket. We were trying to be polite and understanding that she was tired, but yelling at customers because you don't feel like doing your job is unacceptable. Not only that, but a couple other women were sat at another table about 15 minutes after us, she took their drink order (slammed that on their table too) and then never returned to their table. They just got up and walked out. Now, at this point I had tried to order my food 4 times and she still couldn't figure it out. She finally came back to the table to once again be insanely aggressive and snarky, like she was drunk and was pissed that she was woken up, and we had had enough and asked for to-go boxes and the check. Jarissa brought the boxes as my kids were in tears because of how she was treating us. We tried to ask for one more as she walked away and ignored us, my husband just went and grabbed one himself. We packed up the food that she had remembered and walked out. Thanks Jarissa for ruining part of my daughter's birthday by being such an absolute freaking nightmare. We tried to be calm and pleasant with you, understanding the hour, but you were nothing but nasty to us and our kids. Maybe this is not a good fit/job for you!! Zero stars!!! You were the absolute worst server I've ever encountered in my 46 years on...
Read moreI submitted a corporate complaint with this company on October 2nd, after my family and I visited for breakfast September 29th. I was hesitant to complain because I'm usually one to just look the other way, BUT my kids were involved and were still talking about it days after so I just felt the need to reach out. I was sent a response 6 days ago saying someone would be reaching out within 3-5 business days and still have yet to be contacted back regarding the situation.. Our usual IHOP usually has cool stuff for kids, they have seasonal food and drinks, right now its the Adam's Family, they provide books and color sheets and my 2 kids just love it. The staff also usually allows the kids to hang their pages, and as you can imagine, my kids just go crazy about this! We had just finished our meal that morning and were all headed out to leave and I noticed the manager I believe, tearing down all of the kids drawings. He was a hispanic male about 6ft2" tall and slender, he was wearing a dress shirt and tie, had dark hair and glasses. I heard him introduce himself to a table behind us earlier in the morning..."Ephriam" I believe he said his name was.. As we were making our way out of the building, I just happened to overhear one of the hostesses say to him that he was "killing these kids dreams" by ripping them all down...his response was to grab a handful of the torn down sheets and tear them in half exclaiming "those kids killed my dreams!!". I was truly appalled that IHOP would have a person with such a negative and harsh attitude to represent their company. Especially since he was right out in the open in front of EVERYONE.. The worst part, was that my kids were standing right there next to me seeing the same thing! Something needs to be done because this is absolute inappropriate and unprofessional behavior for a "manager". I would've like to be contacted back from my original complaint, but like I've said, this company has yet to reach out to me and the issue was definitely...
Read moreTook my dad here, he has a Walker & can barely walk. We get in the doors (a nice customer leaving held both doors for us going back into the building to open the inside door while 2 employees stood there chatting & just watched.) The 2 employees continued chatting about something personal & didn't greet us at all or seem to be in any kind of hurry to seat us while my dad can barely stand, so I had him sit for a minute. Ordered the same exact dish (omelet with ham) & mine had literally 2 pieces of dice sized ham in it and it was cold. My dad's had plenty of ham. Seems pretty weird to mess up one like that when they were the exact same order cooked at the same time. The payment computer system went down while we were eating. Employees locked the doors so nobody new could come in. Our waitress never came back. Overheard a different waitress complaining to another customer that she was the only waitress on the floor because the other one got sent to the kitchen. We were there for 1 1/2 hours (my dad eats really slow) and she didn't talk to us once. I had to get up and go ask her to bring us our tab so we could pay. The manager at the time (11am-1230 on Feb 6th) took credit card payments by rubbing the card on a tri paper "receipt" and having me sign it. I definitely am hoping they keep all of our credit card info safe from any other employees seeing them & possibly using them. Didn't feel good about it but I had no cash & they apparently had no other way of...
