I frequent this particular Panera Bread often. I have ordered bagels, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and bought bread and pastries. Every time I order bagels however, I hear whispers and complaints from the staff because I ask for my six bagels to be sliced with butter. They don’t butter the bagels for you, like every other bagel place does, but rather give you tiny little butter packets so you can butter them yourself. Which is fine, I don’t mind buttering my own bagels, but for some reason asking for three butters, keeping in mind they are small, and asking them to slice them in their machine that does it for them is asking way too much. So I stand there listening to them critique me and whisper about how, “Can you believe she asked for three butters per bagel?” I have definitely spent my money here over the years and I shouldn’t have to feel like I’m this greedy hungry butter thief because my family and I want to enjoy butter on our bagels. That we butter ourselves. Maybe the butters come out of their pay? Not sure but I’m awfully tired of giving them a lot of business only to be treated this way and whispered about that I can...
Read moreI am giving 2 stars, this is primarily due to the fact that 3 of the last 4 times I have bought food from here, they have not had any bread at the aptly named restaurant chain. I understand this may be due to the ongoing supply chain issues brought on by Covid 19, and may be out of the owners control. One would think any retail enterprise who cares for its customers would st least make a soggy effort to keep me engaged as a customer. What did they do to remedy the fact that I went to Panera Bread with the implied understanding that I would be able to buy bready goodness, only to leave with NO BREAD? Free meal voucher? A heartfelt apology? A crumbly IOU for a loaf of bread next visit? None of the above. Nothing. So I have just left Panera for the third and final time with no bread. Panera of Port Huron you have officially lost me as a customer. This in no way reflects on the individuals working at the restaurant, they have always been warm and professional. I’m not mad, just disappointed, you are better than this Panera...
Read moreI really like the food at Panera Bread. I think they have very unique flavors and the food is consistently good if not great. The bread and pastries are also very very tasty. The atmosphere is cozy and ordering is easy. The drive through is also great for quick visits. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is two fold. The first reason is the price of most items on the menu. The second is the amount of food you get. Both of these reasons are relative to the other. If they gave more food, I wouldn't much care that they are more expensive but I consistently leave hungry. I wish that wasn't the case because of the many reasons I listed in the first part of my review. But because of this, it makes it difficult for me to suggest or recommend going to Panera. Hopefully this is something they address since it's been an issue for quite some time. Otherwise, it is a good/great place to eat. On a side note, if you are on a diet this place might be...
