I feel like this is probably my 3rd or 4th review about this same Texas Roadhouse which is sad but it needs to be said and I'm at the point of not returning while suggesting others to follow suit. For starters the staff are neglectful of their jobs and think of Texas Roadhouse as a social gathering for themselves, we had to wait 5 minutes to get seated so their employees could finish their conversation on when they are going to get off their shift...I mean really? Seems like if you hold customers up, you're just keeping yourself longer. Staff stand around in the open holding conversations next to tables casually and unprofessionally while individuals are trying to enjoy their meals and it feels like you're being monitored or judged. Ordered a Margarita on the "Rocks", waitress came back with blended Margarita, I called out that it was supposed to be on the Rocks and she insisted that it was the Bartenders fault...but you're the one who took the order and still brought back the wrong drink... Ordered appetizer specifically the shrimp, received our starter sides and meal before ever receiving our appetizer...it took the waitress to deliver our sides and then our meals to finally realize and I quote "Oh no! I never brought your appetizer to you yet, let me go check on that!" That's kind of insulting if you ask me. I will add that, every single attempt of ordering an appetizer here 1) It was never received on-time and was either received at the time of our meals or after our meals were finished because we brought it up that we didn't receive it and the restauarant/staff did not want to eat the cost. 2) Appetizers were either over-cooked or under-cooked and not presented well. Lastly, our meals. We ordered steaks like many would at a "Steakhouse". A 6oz sirloin asked to be cooked medium rare that was cooked rare, and a Bone In Ribeye asked to be cooked medium rare that was also cooked rare. The Ribeye was very fatty and seemed like it had an off taste to the meat. Curious if the meat was old just due to looking at the outside layer that was rippled, because both my fiancé and I had stomach issues after our visit... had onions and mushrooms on top of the steaks, the onions weren't even cooked entirely and were crunchy, they are supposed to be caramelized, I didnt ask for burger toppings. For the side which was steamed vegetables, they weren't even steamed, the broccoli and carrots were too hard to even put a fork through, I sent one flying across the table trying to dig into either one, my fiancé even asked "is that you crunching on steamed vegetables?"
I mean seriously, if you wanna go here for tap beer and bread be my guest because they can't screw that up, but above it all, they are charging an arm and a leg for them to not use their arms and legs. This place is not what it used to be before Covid and they can blame Covid all they want if it makes them feel better but ultimately what it comes down to is the customers because they are in the Customer Service industry and Customers are their...
Read moreDisappointed. We had a voucher for a dinner for two, valued at $30.00. we received it because at our last visit things were unacceptable. I could just say that, but I need to say more. We received a $30 voucher after our previous visit, because, there were so many issues. First of all, when you pay this kind of money at a restaurant, you would expect the service to be top notch. When we arrived, our silverware was dirty, and then we had it replaced, and it was dirty again. After we placed our order, we waited at least 20 minutes for our appetizer, when we finally got our main course the steak was overcooked. At that point I would have just paid and not complained. But then we received our bill via the table top computerized payment device. I paid our bill and we were getting ready to leave. And our server stopped us before we even made it to the bar. He said that we had not paid our bill. I said oh yes we have I paid it and also left a tip. He said hold on let me get a manager. Come to find out they had the wrong payment device on our table and I actually paid for the customer sitting across from us. And then it took about 30 minutes for the manager to come out and straighten everything out. So she gave me the $30 voucher. I have been saving it for over a month and a half. Thinking that when we go back I will save a lot of money, and we will have a good time at the expense of our dissatisfactory service the last time we were there. So today I go there at 11:25 the place is already almost packed. I am thinking I do not want to spend much more money than the voucher is worth. They seat us in the bar section, in the most uncomfortable seat in the entire restaurant facing away from all of the television screens and everything else, not to mention the obnoxious country pop music playing too loudly to ignore, where the bartender is doing two jobs or three maybe, the coffee comes out cold, the silverware is dirty again, before we can even sit down the seat has macaroni and cheese spilled all over it, and then when I try to flag the waiter, it takes her over 10 minutes to respond I end up having to talk to the general manager who just happened to walk by to get our servers attention again. By that point I was ready to leave. However had to wait another 5 minutes for the server to look at us again. I try to explain to her why I was dissatisfied trying to be respectful. And she walks away from me mid sentence. Giving me a nasty look like I am being an a**. Just disappointment after disappointment. The only thing that made me come back after the first time was that delicious steak. But it is hit or miss for sure. Just tired of being underserved. Good luck to those of you who want to try...
Read moreDo you like feelings of pure bliss and happiness? Well allow me to tell you about my experience at Texas Roadhouse.
You walk into those doors and the first thing that hits your nose is the heart-warming aroma of that freshly-baked bread. That magnificent scent could send you into a coma right there, but you haven't even had any yet. After reality sets back in, some extremely friendly hosts will then guide you to your table. After being seated at a beautiful wooden table or booth, you'll realize what a cozy and homelike environment you're really in.
Before you can even dig into that beautiful and perfectly-shaped bread the host put down, the server is already there, ready to get you your drinks. An incredible margarita menu, the largest draft beers in town, coke products, sweet tea. It's screaming Texas alright, and I want some! That Kenny's Cooler is an amazing drink. I bet it tricked my liver into thinking it was juice too, because I was sure fooled. Delicious!
Now for the food: The Cactus Blossom. The most perfectly friend onion one can experience. A blooming flower of fried deliciousness, with a delectable taste. And that tangy sauce... Like ranch and hot sauce combined for completed perfection. Such an inviting appetizer. Amazing!
Next, a humble 8 ounce sirloin, cooked Medium-rare. Topped with sautéed onions and mushrooms. Beautiful. Tender. Juicy. Perfectly balanced. Incredible! It was served with two sides, one a Caesar salad which I previously enjoyed in tandem with my Cactus Blossom. And a baked potato, topped with sour cream and butter, sprinkled with bacon and cheese. It's beautiful art on your plate, and it's Tasty!
Our server asked us if we wanted dessert. My stomach was so full and satisfied that it said no, but my mouth said yes. A perfectly warm brownie topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce was delivered to my table. A beautiful texture, creamy and smooth.
All of this with a great price and friendly staff.
My only regret is that I cannot eat more food. So I shall return.
Go get yourself some Texas Roadhouse. Definitely the best and friendliest place in town. A truly...
