Our reviews had over 56 million views in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Anthony's Runway 84. We do about 175 restaurant reviews a year, and this is now our #1 place to eat worldwide!!! That is not something we say easily because we know with 28 million views in 6 months this year, we want to be very careful about what we say. After 40 years they finally remodeled the place and re-opened in Jan. 2023. It is an old-school high-end supper club with live music every night and the best food we have ever eaten. The wait staff is excellent and knows how each dish is prepared. We started with the free fresh Italian bread and olive oil with cheese in it. Really hot fresh bread with strong cheese flavors and crumbles in the oil. For apps we had the pasta raviolis filled with pears and gorgonzola in a hot honey sauce that was divine. I cannot stress enough how good this app is. It is only offered once a week so get it if you can. We had the mussels diablo, which is a red semi spicy sauce, not too spicy but really rich tomatoes and lovely with the mussels. Be sure to get extra bread to dip in the sauce. She had the artichoke app as well. LOTS of cheese and thin butter sauce with chunks of garlic. All 3 apss are MUST HAVE items. For dinner she had the spicy rigatoni. All pasta is made by hand in house and of course is served al dented as God intended. Fan tas tick. Better even than the rigatoni at Carbone in NYC and I say that with the greatest respect. I had linguine and meatballs. This dish is not on the menu but because this is the best restaurant in the world, they made it for me anyway. Really rich tomato sauce and the house made linguini was excellent. Deep rich flavors of a sauce made for 12 hours with lots of garlic, and all the other spices your Italian Great Grandma used to use to make her perfect red sauce. For dessert we had the pistachio and raspberry cake and the NYC Ricotta Cheesecake. I do not like cake, but this cake was so very good that I must require you to order it. It was that good. And finally, the cherry on top. The cheesecake. I am a cheesecake snob. I have had the good fortune to each cheesecake from every Michelin star restaurant in NYC and most of them in France. I have been to all the best cheesecake shop up and down the east coast as well. This is the BEST. . It is light and airy, a rich flavor of eggs, sugar and custard like center that just floats on your tongue like a cloud. The crust is simple and thin, the top is cooked to dark sugary brown rich with flavor but not burnt. I paired it with a double expresso, and it was so good the hair on my arms rose up to give this cheesecake a standing ovation. Our waiter was Ruy. Very good, very smart, very funny and really made the night wonderful. They operate with several room captains that float effortlessly around the room and are constantly making sure that everyone is happy. Nice big bar you can eat at if you cannot get a table. Reservations are a must. Main dining room has great views of the band but if you cannot get in there, the "patio" as they call it is really an inside room with AC and while you cannot see the band, you can hear it. Main room has lovely semi-circle booths that are really comfortable, but you must be a party of 4 to snag one. We met many managers, but I forgot to get their names other than Nick Marino, he was awesome. Sharing the history of the joint and making it a fun evening but the other captains were also a blast including the one I think named TUTU. Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE!!!! I arrived with my family at 6:50 pm. And I noticed they had valet parking for $3 and I liked it. But at this point I didn’t know what was coming... yep! The waiting time! It was absolutely ridiculous. The host told us 30 minutes waiting and we agreed, then 40 minutes later we asked how much longer for us to be seated and the hostess said with the smile “couple minutes, guys!” Then we waited and waited and waited, and couple of minutes became 35 minutes so we asked again for our seating status and the guy said “ you guys have one group ahead of you and then you will be next “ I started loosing my patience and I told my wife that I wanted to leave but she replies to me: “the reviews are great and it may be worth it to wait “ so I waited! They call us to our table at 8:36pm and we arrived at 6:50pm. With the promise of 30 minutes waiting time. WARNING!!! If you don’t like to wait for a long time, please do not come here because you are going to wait hours before you can be seated even with reservation, because Mr. Anthony only finds tables first to his long time customers and friends and then everyone else is last. I noticed during the time I was waiting that their customers are over 60 years old and up! I will say like 80% of them was very old so this age group is the reason why their food here tasted so bland and the presentation of the dishes was very poor! Some of the reviews I red before I came here said that this was a romantic restaurant but it’s all “BS” because this place it loud as hell even louder than sports restaurants and the tables were so close to each other that we were very uncomfortable because my wife got bump twice by a drunk lady and that lady didn’t even notice it and her son had to apologize to my wife and on the other side my daughter had to put up with a woman who was very loud and laughing like crazy that I ended up switching places with my daughter, Horrible! - This restaurant is not a good choice if you are looking for a romantic dinner, not a good choice if you’re looking for a quiet place, not a good choice if you do not want to wait more than one hour to be seated even with reservations because Mr. Anthony seats his favorite people first, not a good choice if you want to taste delicious food because their food is Bland! The reviewers got to be more honest and truthful when they write a review about Anthony’s Runway 84 because I came here based on the reviews and this place its not even close to what I red. I have nothing against old people but with my experience I noticed that restaurants, that are visited by people older than 60 years old, don’t have food that taste delicious because old people cannot handle dishes with too much salt or seasoning that’s why Anthony’s Runway 84 food choices are so Bland! I will not come back here ever and I advise everyone else not to come here to waste their time and money! This restaurant experience is my Biggest regrets and I am very disappointed!!! Note: Mr. Anthony you need to step away from the front desk and hire someone new, younger and impartial that will seat people based on the their reservation time and also based on the order they have arrived and not based on who’s Anthony’s friend or his...

Spectacular! I have had some of the finest restaurants all over the world and New York and Las Vegas. So if I say this is spectacular, it’s because it exceeds expectations in just about every facet of the experience, especially for South Florida.
I had the pleasure of dining there on my birthday November 25, 2023. This restaurant has been an institution in Fort Lauderdale for decades, known for its delicious Italian food. When you walk in the walls are lined with framed photographs of celebrities, entertainers, public figures, etc. who have dined at Anthony’s Runway 84. I have eaten here many times throughout the years, but not since the beautiful renovation.
There is, of course, valet parking. Thereafter, you are transported. When you walk in, you are greeted by a gentleman who greets you like family. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of a beautiful, high-end supper as in New York, London or Monaco. The design is refined and sexy. The staff is also refined and sexy, as well as the many of the polished clientele. And of course, there are normal folks like myself…-)
The Food is exceptional, as it has always been. But fair warning – the portions are immense. Did they get bigger? Next time I go, I will twist my dates arm to share an entrée which this date refuse to do…-). The drinks are made fairly strong, not the watered-down version of so many South Florida restaurants, they have a full bar. My Black Russian with Tito’s, milk and easy rocks was made perfectly.
The service was spot on. Our server Kasey was perfect. She was attentive without being intrusive. She catered to our every request quickly and cheerfully. She could not have been more perfect. She was a pleasure.
The food was served fairly quickly after we ordered and again the portions are very large. Both my date and I had the chicken Parmesan, which was delicious and served at the perfect temperature, with the chicken both crispy and savory.
We finished dinner about 8 o’clock. Just about this time, there was a large and lively sophisticated crowd at the bar. I have a feeling this restaurant really gets going after 9 PM.
I know they have entertainment, but sadly we were done before the entertainment started.
Oh, did not see the bill, I know that the prices are fairly high, although still a fraction of what is charged in many of the high-end restaurants in Miami, which I’ve dined at and don’t hold a candle to this restaurant.
Last, but not least, the General Manager, JOE is exceptional. He is personable, stopping to talk with many of the guests here and there, he’s also a hands-on GM when we needed salt and pepper, or any little thing he was more than happy to accommodate. He not only responded personally to my email request, but responded fairly quickly. Impressive!
As most of you who see my reviews know - I’m very hesitant to strongly recommend most anything. This restaurant is an exception. It is truly spectacular.
Do not visit Fort Lauderdale without visiting this restaurant. It probably books months in advance, especially during season, so book early!
I Recommend and you will...
