House of Caviar and Fine Foods — Local services in Fort Lauderdale

This company is not shipping orders during Covid-19 and abusing the Amazon system by charging for goods not delivered. Shame on them. UPDATE (4 weeks for the initial post)- after repeat attempts to resolve this through Amazon, to no avail, and after posting this I called the company directly. After almost an hour of discussions with their Customer Service, and getting either an owner or manager on the phone, they finally decided to mail my items out and I received them two days later. Customer service is poor, they just now finally even responded to my Google post 4 weeks later. So I am posting real facts for a real reason and your company should be a little more customer friendly when a client reports a problem, especially through Amazon as I am sure it helps you sell a lot more product. So thank you for finally making my order right but what a hassle to get your company to do the right thing and send me my order. Several years ago I was in a squeeze: I had invited friends for dinner and promised duck confit as part of the meal. Duck confit that I had prepared myself. There was not a duck leg around from any of my 'normal' sources, it was too late to order them online and, voila, I ran into the House of Caviar and Fine Foods. Wow! My first order included those legs and then some. Luckily, I live close by and picked up my extensive order. Had to wait for a few minutes, which was a fabulous experience: The place has so many rare, unusual, fabulous foods, spices, accompaniments to offer. VERY impressive. Great catalog. Since then I'm hooked and go there for rare meats, unusual sausages, foie gras, bottarga, and so many other delicacies. When I first moved from Eastern Europe many years ago I went trough funny situations employees of regular grocery stores ( besides whole foods;) looked at me like I fell from sky looking for caviar in grocery stores which is pretty normal find in Eastern European shops compare to American grocery shops so I start digging in to gourmet shops and since I found few shops one of my favorite became house of caviar they definitely have a great selection and reasonable prices .
