Think of a budget airline such as Spirit or Frontier⊠they lure you in with the low prices then boom, surprise you with hidden fees and charges you would never even imagine but only after youâre already locked in to doing business with them⊠and totally take full advantage of you and your wallet. You thought you were saving but end up paying more than a first class ticket on a reputable airline.
Similar to budget airlines and that exact scenario, this place was a TOTAL SCAM⊠they really get you by having you sign this tiny sheet of paper saying you decline the sun pass, which I assumed to mean I was simply declining PREPAYING for tolls⊠and then after you return the rental they not only charge you for each toll incurred (which would be totally expected, of course) but they impose a whopping $25 service fee, PER TOLL!
I was in Fort Lauderdale for work during the month of September. The first week of October I returned the rental vehicle. A week or so passes by and I see a random charge for nearly $1000 come across my bank account, and almost had a heart attack! Mind you, the tolls going from Fort Lauderdale to Miami have multiple entrances and checkpoints, where it basically continues to charge you the (couple dollar, which varies) toll the longer you stay on the highway⊠well they charge you $25 at each of those as well, of course.
After nearly having to harass them to speak with anyone with any authority, I finally got ahold of the managers direct cell number only for her to give me the run around, initially claiming she was going to help by removing the service fees and just charging me for the actual tolls incurred⊠then I think ended up blocking my number and totally ghosting me. Leaving me with the full bill obviously.
The name of this company says it all. If you were hesitant in the slightest about doing business with them, you should be. They pressure everyone into leaving a review while standing at the counter picking up the vehicle, probably assuming most people wonât take the time to go back and find their review and edit it⊠but I made the time.
I wouldnât wish for my worst enemy to have to rent a car from these crooks. Donât do it, youâll end up paying way more for an old wrecked POS than if you just went to SIXT or Avis (anyone reputable) and even rent d...
Read moreI am only giving 1 star due to the car being available but otherwise it would have been 0 stars. This place is so deceptive it feels like buying a used car in Miami. The price advertised is just deceptive bait. They will ask you for insurance coverage if you have great insurance and dont need theres at 36.00 a day then they still charge 16.00 a day regardless and same with tolls, if you are local and have your own sunpass and do not need there they tell you that cant use yours and that you will be charged 25.00 for each toll if you dont pay for theres which is also a rip off. They also want to charge your credit card a hold while you rent the car however the hold amount is 3 to 4 times what avis or budget or enterprise would put as a hold. These are wrecks converted to rentals so we are not talking luxury cars but they still want to kill your credit card and there are other hidden charges which there are like 3 or 4 different waiver contracts they try to make you sign as a trusting unsuspecting customer. They new rental companies need the law makers to investigate and clamp down on. I saw so many tourists get dropped off by bus from the airport - they were no t educated as to what they were walking in on. these companies are off the beaten path in small industrial buildings - they are not allowed on airport property but they prey on people not knowing -- remeber if you decline all the extra charges you should be able to rent the card very close to the cost you were advertised but here you will pay 3 to 5 times what was advertised when your rental is returned. STAY AWAY. I rent cars all the time for work with the big companies and never these issues.. Rent a Wreck and companies like them are predatory companies taking...

Customer service at pick up: Left feeling taken advantage of because I was from Canada and in unfamiliar territory.
Forced to buy insurance when everywhere Iâve researched says Iâm covered and when I tried using my AMEX to pay for it (I have coverage there), I was refused and forced to pay debit. YET, they were able to take the AMEX for the deposit. Very, very shady.
When I asked about the toll situation, I was lied to by the guy and was made to believe that I was crazy to reject it when we only went through one toll. Itâs actually super offensive to tourists, when I genuinely had no idea where we were.
Given a Low battery key fob: emailed for solution and it was to drive an hour out of our way to fix their mistake for them. We also didnât get reimbursed for the key battery we bought out of our own pocket, to put our minds at ease from being stranded somewhere with my wife and two young kids.
No reply from customer service since we originally voiced our concerns. high level of selfishness and lack of care for their customers.
It has been over 7 Business days now and I still have not received my refund for my initial deposit. Adding insult to injury. Had to call from Canada and demand the refund which I only received 3 business days later. Totalling 11 business days to get my refund. If I didnât call, I was never getting it
Overall, do not get lured into a good deal through kayak because you need to stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. They should be shut down for how they take advantage of tourist, lack empathy and their utter disregard for customer service. If you are a Canadian, do not go here. If you have breath in your lungs, do not go here unless you want your...
