Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Today may 18 2025 my family came from Indiana we wanted to try baskin Robbin the family of 8 went there the one on sunrise blvd Fort Lauderdale the cashier her name was shama something the receipt didn’t catch her whole name she was very rude unprofessional she wanted until we get the ice cream I didn’t like one of the topping I got I ask can I get a different one she said no once you taste it and starting to eat it you can’t replace it you have to purchased another scoop then she said we provide taste bud before ordering for 1 you never welcome us and said this if you want to try before getting you did not say anything and then went to talk to the other teammate about me on the headset like I’m not standing there she said you have to purchased it since I only tase how it tase then the manager walked in they went to talk on the side they all just laughing which is unprofessional then I ask the manager if this a cooperate or franchise she said look it up you have a phone. Went in after a night of fun with my mom. My mom is disabled and on a crutch due to breaking her hip.

I went in and my mom said she needed to use the bathroom. Due to past surgeries my mom cannot hold her bladder very well like some young people are. My mom went to the bathroom door they said we could NOT use the bathroom because I needed to have a number off of a receipt. I said I would gladly buy ice cream as we are there for it anyways. But she denied saying she needed me to purchase something. The "manager" said this to me, short hair and all. Eventually I bought two cones after receiving poor service already so my mom could use the bathroom. The "manager" would not acknowledge us the entire time and a polite young man served us. Only then after I had paid, she said for another young woman to open the bathroom door for my mother. After going back into my car with my mom, they let a stranger off the street walk in and opened the bathroom for him. No purchase before hand! Absolutely unacceptable and terrible.

I am thrilled with the cake that was made for my daughters birthday. I ordered ahead and I felt like a lot of care was put into getting the order right, as the designer called to clarify my preferences after reviewing the inspo photo. While they do offer full ice cream cakes their standard is to put a layer of vanilla sponge cake at the bottom to add some structure. I was nervous and even skeptical of this variation but I’m so glad I went with it because it was really lovely having the two textures together. As it happened when it was time to pick up the cake a week later there was a thunderstorm rolling in. When I arrived there was a wonderful mother daughter team working there that took the initiative to make sure I had a plan to get the cake from the store to my car without damaging it (they double wrapped it with an oversized plastic bag.)
