Panda Express — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

I am really not sure how this place is getting good reviews. The food SUCKED! I received a promo for BOGO on their bowls. They're bogo for OBVIOUS reasons! I ordered one Kung Pao chicken bowl with broccoli. Let me start by saying, the flavor of the food is decent, but the chicken, the chicken was practically NON-EXISTENT! The pieces of chicken were literally the size of a peanut. I literally had to search through all the vegetables to find a few pieces which I will emphasize again, were SUPER tiny! Onto the Mandarin steak bowl. Again, the flavors of the sauce and vegetables were decent. They give you PLENTY of noodles. Of course, pasta is CHEAP! Also, the noodles were very dry, they could have at least tossed the noodles in the sauce the dish came with. The steak was old, not fresh and very chewy, too. Yet another franchise that loads up on the cheap stuff. First time trying, last time eating. Thanks but no thanks. Oh, and the door dash driver was a bit lost finding my place so I got a phone call only to see him parked directly across the street from me, no problem at all. It happens. But once I told him where I was he proceeded to come over to the correct address.. What bothered me is he could not even knock on my door to let me know he was here with my food.. I travel the country for work and eat at Panda often. I understand this location just opened but today was one of the worst experiences I’ve had there. Walk in and there’s no one in line but there 5 delivery drivers waiting. We order and they are out of fried rice and lo mein. They don’t say anything about how long, I’m sorry for the wait, we just stand there waiting and looking around. Looked like 11 employees behind the counter but they still were so behind. Rachel seemed so rude. We waited 15 min to get entrees to them be told they’re still waiting on Broccoli Beef and said she would bring out. After another 10 min I went back to check and she acted like she had never seen me. They all seemed lost. They don’t seem like they can handle all those online orders and in store walk/ins. The whole screen was full of 10+ orders and 15+ people piled up after me. It seemed to take most orders 15-20 min in store. I had such high hopes. They made sure to say hi anytime someone walked in, but nothing about the wait time, how long anything was going to take or even thank you for...

It was my first time going to a Panda Express.👍 I like the Panda Bear Logo theme 🐼 with the crisp red colors with black & white throughout. It took me a bit to figure out how to discern the menu. Finally, I just asked one of the employees how to build my order. The customer service was Excellent! The price is quite reasonable. The food was Delicious! I'm a great lover of Asian food as I make my own Chinese and Thai. Therefore my judgment will be with strong comparisons. I have to say they did quite good to satisfy my standard. I give them a solid 4! I did enjoy a satisfying meal. I will definitely be a customer. It's easy on the takeout inside. The parking lot may end up being funky with several restaurants side by side taking up spots. I tested the atmosphere for sit-in. It's okay. I'm a bit critical wanting cushion seats. They did provide some seats with cushioning though the cushions were quite hard, perhaps because they are new and will soften up, most people wouldn't mind. I wish them great...
