I used to be a big fan of Borsalino and would highly recommend this place, but as the quality went downhill, it’s time for another review.
⏳While drinks generally come quick, be ready to wait for food. We went on. A Saturday at 10:45AM and waited at least 35 minutes to get our food.
🍔 If waiting is what it takes to get yummy food, I’d be fine with it, but that is not the case. The Short Ribs tartine was not great. The short ribs were dry and the bread was not good. Definitely not the sourdough they used to serve.
☕️ I was a big fan of the lavender latte, the one I got today tasted like burned coffee. Also served in a plastic one-time use container. Not only I prefer to drink in an actual glass (like it used to be) but I also don’t want to contribute to landfill. If you want water, you also have to use a one-time plastic glass.
🔊 They changed the furnitures setup, not only it is less cozy but they can host way more people than before, and it gets LOUD. Not my jam.
🤑 And Borsalino isn’t cheap, while I used to be happy paying the high prices, today experience was definitely not good. Perhaps success means that the business can cut corners on quality? Borsalino isn’t that...
Read moreLoved this place when just opened. Was coming at least once a week. Now when it got popular everything changed for the worst. Food was great, especially tartines that cost $17 before tax and tips and I was glad to pay the price as it was served on a great slice of sourdough, with fresh ingredients cooked on the same day. Now it’s served with a cheap sliced bread from a supermarket that is so thin you can barely taste or see it under all the ingredients it topped with. As for short rib ones they clearly don’t prepare it the same day anymore as in the last few times I had it the toll ribs were dry and clearly were stored for a while. Atmosphere is not as it used to be. It was cute and cozy with warm colors, now they repainted it , added more seats that don’t look good anymore and pretty much ruined the original cozy and warm atmosphere. It feels like cheap canteen now. Sadly no returning there and stopped recommending...
Read moreMy wife and I love Borsalino! The coffee and the food is amazing! You have to try the lavender latte and the B Signature (both hot and iced)... by far my favorite coffee in all of South Florida. The food is delicious and they serve brunch all day, so we can always satisfy our breakfast cravings at any time of the day. This is a great spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and an early dinner! My wife and I have brought our family & friends during the weekends and also work inside of the cafe during the week. The staff is super friendly and I love the way the place looks, very elegant but with a homey and comfortable feel. I can't recommend this place enough! I wish I lived closer so I can come...
