Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

So this isn’t a review.... tho I did love the server. This is something I’ve really thought about today and decided it was important to say something because I’ve been verbally abused by my managers when I was younger... So my cousin and I hadn’t seen each other in a few years so after my moms birthday party we decided to go for drink. Normally I would go to a bar because I know I have a loud mouth but she is the fancy type and wouldn’t have been confortable at one. We already have a few drinks in us from the party so me being loud was pretty much garrenteed. Another thing about me is NO subject is too taboo for me, we got on topics of polyamory, divorce when you have kids, and old family bull we needed to talk out. After I pay my DOLL of a server, we sit and finish our drinks. A few mins later the manager comes up with my server behind her, giving me what seems to be an apologetic look over the managers shoulder. The manager asks me if we are finished with a less then amused tone. I tell her we just paid, which the waitress tries to vouch for but she was ignored. Now, I’ve been asked to leave places for being to loud and I don’t mind, I get it, so I ask her if that was why she was at the table, she answers with “Your being offensive” I laugh because I thought she was kidding, the face she made could have curdled milk, that made my tipsy self laugh even harder. She asks me again if I paid, I told her I used the machine table thing and that I did. She snaps at the waitress to show her and they go off to I assume look at the computer. The waitress comes back by herself and offers us another round of drinks (she really was an angel, I know I’m annoying when I drink) and not wanting to piss her harpy of a manager off anymore I tell her it’s ok and that I wanted a cig anyway. As I’m leaving I feel bad because I know what the staff is in for after a costumer pisses off a petty short fused manager, so I go attempt to apologize to her. As I’m talking, this puffed up, entitled cow looks at me with such hate and bitterness I seriously thought she was going to hit me, instead she turns her back to me and walks off without a word. I don’t harber any sort of negative feeling towards your establishment at all, don’t want any free things either. What I do want is to tell you something, I’ve worked under managers like her and was MISERABLE, most of the time I got fired because I was to afraid to ask when I didn’t know something. And I’ve work under wonderful manager who did their due diligence to make sure I had all the tools I needed to be a great employee. Those managers got the best out of me and are the ones I can use on my resumes. Managers like her make it seem like it’s the employees fault their failing instead of taking responsibility for their own failures...

I went on a Saturday night so it was busy, but my service could have been better! So we got seated almost immediately and it probably took our server about 10 mins to even reach our table, he came by dropped off utensils and said he would be right back. So we waited he came back took our orders brought our drinks out at a pretty decent speed and then we were waiting. There were 4 of us, 3 out of the 4 of us order a 3 for $10. If you don't know what that is basically it's your choice of non-acholic drink, they give you options to choose from as a starter and meal for $10 bucks. Anyways we all ordered baked potato soups as a starter and they never came finally our appetizer came out still no soups, now mind me it's a starter and usually I get the soup when I go to chilis and it comes out almost immediately. Finally someone comes and drops off our meals( I forgot to mention but our drinks needed to be refilled since the appetizer was brought out) and I wanted a refill and my soups I asked the guy that came and dropped them off and he told me he would notify our server he never came by not once. Not to ask if our meals were good, not ask if we needed anything else, not to ask anything at all. He never came back since he dropped off our drinks when we first ordered it. He passed by multiple times and we all tried to call him never saw us. Finally we get him to come then we bring to his attention we never got our soups, we needed certain sauces, and refills. He says sure he brings out the soups immediately and our drinks and finally we finish our meals and he still never comes and my friends and I have decided we want a dessert and we waited and waited we see him going to his other tables and we tried calling him once again and finally he comes and we tell him we want dessert it comes out and we eat it then he comes back and asks us if we know how to use the little tablet thing at the table to pay, we tell him were having trouble splitting it and he comes back constantly now that we're about to leave and pay. But that was was my experience I've been here before never had this much if a wait and never had an issue with my other servers never really coming to my table but they have all been mediocre services so that's why I...

Worst service I ever experience on any chili’s I have gone too. First off we showed up at the hostess counter and asked if they were still serving food, her response was we close the kitchen at 9pm. Fine it was 8:35 pm when we showed up, so I asked again if they will still able to prepare our food looking at the time, we didn’t want to be a burden and hold anyone up. The hostess grab the menus and repeated again we close the kitchen at 9pm, by then I’m like ok if you don’t wanna service is just say so, stop beating around the bush and get to the point, by then the hostess was rude and sat us down, not telling anyone to wait on us while we say down and watch the clock pass by, I knew her whole motive was to run the clock down and not provide any service to my family. I flagged someone down and they rudely replied I’m not taking care of your table someone else will come. Time went by no one showed at we where 10 min to 9pm. Finally I went to talk to the hostess she ignored my call. So I calmly asked to speak to manager as by then I’m already angry at the piss Poor service and lack of customer skills. The manager finally got someone to come and service us after waiting for 20 minutes with 5 minutes left till the kitchen closed, mind you we asked prior to entering the establishment if they would service us and the hostess rudely dragged herself to seat us trying to blow us off and burn the clock away. I travel to Fort Lauderdale a lot and always had a good experience at other chili’s I visited, but today This was the chili’s from Hell with appalled customer service. Never will I visit this establishment and again and drop my money and mind you this isn’t a single meal but over $100 with tips we usually leave for great service at other locations.
