Need an honest review... Here you go! The service at the bar was impeccable and everything you would hope for. We had Abigail for mostly everything and she knocked it out of the park 💯 even Julie was amazing to be honest! We did not have as much interaction with her, but the interaction we did have could not have been better!
We came here starving BTW and excited to see what the new hype was about. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming all the way across the board. The chicken nuggets & caviar has gotten rave reviews and I can't understand why. The chicken nuggets tasted like they came from the frozen section at Costco. At best, they are probably ordering them from Sysco or Cheney Brothers. If you like frozen nuggies then these will be up your alley, but for me I was a little disappointed. The wagyu meatballs were alright and edible. I mean, nothing amazing about them but good enough to eat 🤷🏻♂️. The smash burger was the most anticipated part of the meal and just didn't deliver. Again, it was edible and being starving I ate my burger...but it was overcooked even for a smash burger. Like, the meat was dry and it had a burnt taste to the whole sandwich. When you say smash burger, it should be juicy or even greasy at the least. Instead, I got a burnt, dry, baby, double patty burger that left me still hungry. Then, I tried my wife's chicken and waffle sandwich that was recommended. I wasn't sure why she would only eat half of the sandwich, but she said she was full and I was still hungry so I gave it a try. Well, she was just being polite and didn't want to say it was the least favorite thing all night. It seems like the use the same frozen nuggies to create the sandwich and the waffle was cooked well, but had a sweet-ish taste that didn't vibe with the rest of the sandwich. I had a bite or two and just left it. The rosemary fries that we each got (maybe 5-10) come in a tiny cup and should not even count as a side. It's almost laughable to be honest. We finished off by getting the brownie because the couple next to us took two bites of the red velvet cake and wouldn't eat the rest. They said not to get it and try our luck with something else, so we figured the brownie was a safe bet. That didn't work out either. Brownie did not seem like it was made in house and definitely was just heated up in the microwave real quick before throwing two very small scoops of ice cream on top...think like a scoop of butter. At this point we were not amused or willing to try anything more.
Keep in mind why I make these complaints about the food and the size of things that I am a guy who is a size shemedium at best. I don't have a gigantic appetite, but I like food and wanted to try different things. My wife and I really tried to give the menu a go, while choosing things we read most people like.
The food itself definitely is not worth the hype and mediocre at best. Again, everything was edible and nothing got sent back, but definitely not what was read in other reviews! Food was 5 out of 10. Service at the bar with Abigail and Julie was 10 out of 10...which is the only reason I am giving it ⭐⭐⭐. Otherwise, the rating would definitely be lower. Feel free to try for yourself, but you'll know what I'm talking about...
Read moreWe came in for the first time to check it out as we were really excited to have a new spot in the area. Sat at the bar to have drinks. The prices to drink quality and service are extremely far apart. The Cocktail list was very minimal which was a surprise. However, we decided to go with their suggested Margarita. The margarita was $20 and very subpar..lacked quality and flavor. We asked if they had any mocktails and the first bartender told us no. Another bartender came by and we asked her about mocktails and she was able to provide one. It was decent yet $10 but the bar staff took the leftover mocktail mix and added alcohol to it to take shots, rather than giving me my full money's worth. The moral of the story is that this bar has potential and if you like football In a more upscale environment rather than a sports bar, with what we have heard, decent food, you will be happy. Unfortunately, what they're trying to do is a higher end sports bar with upscale prices to match the steakhouse, yet the drinks offerings and the service do not hit the same mark. If this was a standard bar and the prices matched that of regular Fort Lauderdale, we wouldn't have had so many feelings about our first experience. Elevated reputation = elevated...
Read moreD’s Sports Bar is a true game day gem and easily one of the best spots in town to catch a big game. From the moment we walked in, the energy was electric—fans cheering, screens everywhere, and the perfect vibe for sports lovers. We were lucky to have Kassidy take care of us—she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we got the perfect table with a great view of the action. Watching the Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals felt like being in the arena!
Now for the food—absolutely incredible. The Double Smash Burger was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly seared—and the bun held up beautifully. The rosemary fries were crispy, aromatic, and totally addictive. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve.
Between the top-tier food, the lively atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond, D’s Sports Bar has earned a permanent spot in our game day tradition. We’ll be back for every big game,...
