First of all we have been going to El Caminos for a long time, we are locals. I couldn’t count how many times we have come and usually things are fine, although I did get a bad shrimp once, but they gave me a gift card to replace the meal. This review is really not about the food, this is about the manager and his attitude towards me, a customer who placed an order via the phone and it was incorrect, that part is not a big deal, but what followed was complete shock as this angry man comes out of the kitchen after I asked for the manager (I had been waiting for 30 minutes for the missing food) and he proceeds to blame me and tell me I asked for my food several times and that it’s rude. He obviously is not a happy person, I hope he gets some help with his anger issues, but you can not verbally abuse people the way he did. The staff made no effort to rush the food that was missing, they placed the original food out in the front of bar area while the missing food was being prepared. They made no effort to keep it warm or anything, they couldn’t care less, nothing better than a $75.00 to go order that is cold and soggy. All I asked for was for the missing item to be rushed, I asked several employees if they can check on the order, NOT one of them came back to give me a status, they just walked past me as if I was invisible. This place is expensive, and yes the food is good, but wow the manager who was there this evening is just not a nice person, should not be in the service industry and has major anger issues. He told me I should not wait any longer and that he would refund my order, I barely got a word in, he is a total liability, he should be terminated. I really hope someone with influence reads this, as this is not how you handle this situation. All he had to do was say - I am going to see if I can rush it for you, instead of attacking me verbally. Obviously we will never go back, we are a pretty big group of people, but my guess is they...

Vibrant Mexican Vibes on Las Olas!

When my family came into town, we decided to check out El Camino in Fort Lauderdale on Las Olas, and it absolutely delivered! We wanted a spot with great Mexican food and a lively atmosphere, and this place was the perfect choice. The vibe was amazing—packed with energy, good music, and a welcoming buzz that set the tone for a fantastic evening.

To start, we had guacamole with salsa as appetizers, and they were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick off our meal. For the main course, I shared the steak and shrimp fajitas with my aunt, and every bite was bursting with delicious, smoky flavors. My son loved his beef brisket quesadillas, and my other aunt couldn’t stop raving about the Mexican corn. During happy hour, my aunts took full advantage of the buy-one-get-one drink special and couldn’t stop talking about how fabulous the drinks were—El Camino knows how to make a proper cocktail!

Even during the busy rush hour, the service was great. The staff were friendly, attentive, and somehow managed to seat us immediately despite how packed the restaurant was. That level of efficiency really impressed me.

The only downside to mention is that everything in the area requires paid parking. However, El Camino does offer parking behind the restaurant, which makes it a bit easier.

Overall, El Camino offers a dynamic dining experience with fantastic food, good drinks, and excellent service. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot should absolutely be on your list for a lively night out with Mexican cuisine that...

I came to the establishment to have a drink, I went up to the hostess, the hostess girl was standing there chatting with the waiter so enthusiastically that I just stood next to them for 2-3 minutes. The waiter left, the girl continued to ignore me and do things to close, although you close at 1am, I came at 12:10am and said hello to them, but was ignored, I was still standing there waiting for her, after me two girls came up and she stood up and started chatting with them, I was shocked, I said hello to her a second time, to which I heard the same greeting in such a tone, that supposedly what do you need here, I told her that I have been standing here for several minutes and would like a menu to sit down, to which she answered me the kitchen is already closed and immediately continued to conduct a dialogue with the girls who came up after me. An interesting situation of course, did I want to eat? Why did she suddenly decide that I wanted to order something from the kitchen, as far as I saw, the bar was open, people were sitting and drinking at the bar and tables. As far as I know, you also have alcoholic drinks on the menu. I was in a wild shock from such service, to be honest, your food is very tasty, as my friends told me. It's a pity that I encountered such service on my first visit to the restaurant, only because the staff wants to go home as soon as possible instead of working the time you are open. To be honest, now I have big doubts whether it makes sense to come to you for a second try. The...

We took the water taxi over from our hotel to the strip and after passing the mediocre chains like Cheesecake factory, we found a wonderful eclectic spot for 'Mexican Soul Food' El Camino was industrial chic meets Día de Muerto. Great music, open air and lively. The bar was dual sided and staffed by several enthusiastic bartenders. We took a seat and were immediate greeted with a menu to peruse the beverages. I had a prickly pear gin and tonic and my wife a watermelon jalapeno skinny margarita. The prickly pear could have had a little more pear sluree in it, but overall a very well balanced cocktail. The watermelon Margarita was cooling and hot with the jalapenos. We ordered chicharones immediately and some fresh made guacamole. The guac was delicious. The chicharones came out late but were comped by the manager without me saying a word. Talk about great service!! We tried tacos next. The fish ones were hand batter mahi mahi crunchy and flakey. The pork belly was sweet and savory. Both type of tacos were delicious but what stole the show were the black beans. The were amazing! Hands down the best black beans I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I ordered a michelada next and the mixture they house make was delicious! Topped with Tajin on the rim. Overall this place is fun, busy and Delicious. Bar was hopping, people constantly going in and out. This will be on my must go lost every time I travel here.
