Read moreThis is definitely a nice and safe neighborhood park. I love that it is right by the train track. Sometimes I would come here to study on the picnic tables and take quick breaks just to watch the train pass. Ever since FLL released the "no horns" law, the trains do not create a disturbance at all. I also run on the trail that surrounds the park. I do this early in the mornings when it's still dark out and just use my headlamp. I have never ever felt unsafe. There are indeed a couple of homeless people that hang around but they are harmless and are mostly just resting or sleeping. In addition, there are usually 2 or 3 police cars in the parking lot. I think that's their meetup spot... they are usually there until 6am. That ensures safety as well. I will miss this little park...
Read moreWe are visiting Ft. Lauderdale and this park was located close to the Embassy Suites. I love, love, loved this park. There were shaded structures covering both playgrounds which allows the kids to play under the shade even on the hottest Florida days. Both playgrounds had fun obstacles and slides and were toddler friendly. There were also swings to include an ADA swing, baby and regular swings. Other amenities included an open field with soccer goals, tennis courts, benches, beautiful landscape, a booksharing library, bike rack, recycle bin, workout station, information station and a clean restroom facility.
