Hardy Park is undergoing some exciting renovations! With the addition of various activities for both kids and adults, it seems to be transforming into a vibrant community hub. Here’s a more structured overview of the updates you mentioned: ### Hardy Park Renovation Overview Goal: To enhance community engagement and provide a well-structured space for recreational activities for all age groups. #### Key Features: 1. Sports Facilities: - Soccer Fields: New, well-maintained soccer fields for both casual play and organized leagues. - Martial Arts Spaces: Designated areas for martial arts classes and self-defense workshops. 2. Playgrounds: - Children's Play Areas: Updated playground equipment with safe and modern designs. - Inclusive Play Spaces: Features that cater to children of all abilities. 3. Community Activities: - Organized Sports Leagues: Opportunities for both children and adults to participate in soccer leagues and martial arts competitions. - Workshops and Classes: Regularly scheduled classes and workshops for skills development in various sports. 4. Additional Amenities: - Seating Areas: Comfortable seating for families and friends to enjoy watching practices and games. - Green Spaces: Landscaped areas for picnics and social gatherings. 5. Accessibility: - Focus on making the park accessible to everyone in the community, ensuring pathways and facilities accommodate all users. Good Impact on the Community: These renovations are aimed at fostering a sense of community, encouraging physical activity, and providing a safe, enjoyable environment for families. By offering structured activities that cater to diverse interests, Hardy Park is set to become a central hub for recreation and social interaction.

This is definitely a nice and safe neighborhood park. I love that it is right by the train track. Sometimes I would come here to study on the picnic tables and take quick breaks just to watch the train pass. Ever since FLL released the "no horns" law, the trains do not create a disturbance at all. I also run on the trail that surrounds the park. I do this early in the mornings when it's still dark out and just use my headlamp. I have never ever felt unsafe. There are indeed a couple of homeless people that hang around but they are harmless and are mostly just resting or sleeping. In addition, there are usually 2 or 3 police cars in the parking lot. I think that's their meetup spot... they are usually there until 6am. That ensures safety as well. I will miss this little park once I move.

We are visiting Ft. Lauderdale and this park was located close to the Embassy Suites. I love, love, loved this park. There were shaded structures covering both playgrounds which allows the kids to play under the shade even on the hottest Florida days. Both playgrounds had fun obstacles and slides and were toddler friendly. There were also swings to include an ADA swing, baby and regular swings. Other amenities included an open field with soccer goals, tennis courts, benches, beautiful landscape, a booksharing library, bike rack, recycle bin, workout station, information station and a clean restroom facility. I would highly recommend this playground.
