Stephanie's Vegan Bakery and Cafe — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

JAW DROPPING ! I’m super thankful that I ran across this vegan bakery while roaming on Google! Just walking in the establishment the ambience was absolutely inviting and I loved everything that they had to offer. I honestly wish I ordered everything off the menu but there’s only so much my sweet tooth could tolerate . Fortunately, for me, I had the pleasure of trying at least four different cupcakes, one empanada, and one guava , cheeseburger empanada and cheese pastelito . Now please let me just say this, the flavor and the softness that was in each in one of these cupcakes was mouth, drooling… Exaggeration needed. I had the pleasure of trying the “Carrot Cake Cupcake, Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake, Dulce De Leche Cupcake and Vanilla Bean Cupcake. If I really had to choose my favorite was between the vanilla Bean or the Strawberry shortcake. I love the little surprise that’s left in the middle of these cupcakes for you that truly took me aback and I wasn’t expecting that so that. It was such an amazing addition, and the fact that the cupcakes aren’t overpowered with sweetness, but has just the perfect added touch. I honestly can’t wait to go back. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners “Manny” who is a super amazing guy very inviting, beautiful smile, and told me a little bit about all the products that they had to offer as well as their popular carrot cake cupcake, which is to die for might I add ! It was a great experience in the restaurant, and at home eating the cupcakes I will definitely be coming back again and ordering...

I was so excited to see a new vegan spot open not far from our neighborhood (LBTS), but didn’t have a chance to try them before leaving on a long business trip. On the flight back home, the lady next to me started a conversation with me about local restaurants, and when I mentioned being vegan she said “Have you tried Stephanie’s Vegan Bakery yet?! They’re amazing! I’m not vegan but my best friend is and when she goes, I insist on going with her.” I was so thankful for this nudge from this excited stranger and made my way to Stephanie’s that same weekend. I had the vegan tacos (soy-free Beyond meat, not Impossible ✅), the “beef” quesadilla, and a gluten-free chocolate brownie. My gawd… 🤤 You can definitely tell a Dominican put their foot in the seasoning because the way those flavor profiles are set up! Just wow. My gf and I have ordered this same combo at least 3 times in the last 2 weeks and I don’t think we’ll be stopping anytime soon. They have many great GF options, too! Walking into a restaurant with one person ahead who ordered two ice coffees before we had even walked in the young woman with the bull nose ring took my husband and my order of two espressos. After waiting 20 minutes for those espressos I mentioned we had been waiting for quite some time. I was yelled at by the young woman and told she cared more about her to go food orders! There was no one making coffee but Stephanie the owner cooking in the back and the young woman packaging the orders and answering the phone. I just let her know it would have been nice to know we were not going to be served for quite some time. She even knew our 10 month old baby was with us. The owner Stephanie herd her employee telling me how wrong I was and said she was sorry and gave me two cold espressos and sent me on my way. I left very confused on what I did to deserve such abuse and why a small business owner with her 8 year old present would let her employee speak to another mother and customer that way.
