Sweeter Days Bake Shop — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Unfortunately we found out their preordered baked goods are not baked fresh as expected. We paid a hefty premium expecting fresh baked brownies for my daughters birthday party. About 30 minutes after I dropped the brownies off at the school the teacher called and said they were frozen solid and inedible! I called Sweeter Days in a panic and they said they would give me refrigerated (not frozen) replacements (still not fresh- admittedly at least several days old) as long as I was willing to go pick up the frozen brownies from the school and bring them back so they could resell them! I explained there was no way I had time to do this and make it back in time for the party and they reluctantly agreed to supply the refrigerated brownies as long as I promised to bring back the others later. Feeling held hostage, I reluctantly agreed. Not only did I spend several hours driving back and forth to pickup and return what likely is a total cost of around $10 for the bank shop ($100 my cost for 24 brownies), I sadly found out that nothing is fresh baked. They had no concern for the value of my time and even told my wife we were playing some sort of game to keep the frozen brownies. I can promise, as soon as we found out they were frozen, had we had anything at all lined up to replace them and not ruin the birthday, we would have done it. I see no reason to pay a premium price for days old frozen baked goods. If I want that, I can visit Publix frozen...

I needed a sweet treat for a birthday. After reading reviews I decided to stop in and check out Sweeter Days. It's easy to be deceived by the smaller store front until the smell of baked sweetness hits you as you walk in the door. An assortment of decorated cupcakes are displayed along with mini cupcakes, cookies and cakes. I was able to pick cupcakes from a list of their most popular cupcake flavors along with specialty flavors. It was difficult choosing only 6 cupcakes because they had so many great choices. I opted for Funfetti, Red Velvet, Salted Caramel and the Raspberry White Chocolate. Since it was my first time in and I didn't know what to expect I jokingly asked if I could taste test a cupcake and the baker granted my wish with a cupcake that's frosting had fallen. The cake batter was soft, warm and fluffy and the chocolate frosting was richly decadent!! I appreciate that he accommodated my request and he also gave me a few flavor recommendations since I was having trouble choosing. For the birthday event I ate the Raspberry with white chocolate and it was a delightful sweet treat! Each person enjoyed their cupcakes. For my next event, or when I'm in need of something sweet, I will definitely head over to Sweeter...

I was on vacation in Fort Lauderdale this past August 2019. I stopped at an Area restaurant and had lunch. I ordered the coconut cake for dessert. when my server came back I asked where they got this cake from and he told me it was from a local bakery in the area . First of all, this was the most delicious coconut cake I have ever had in my life ! Five star blue ribbon confection! I decided to visit this bakery while I was on vacation and order one for myself because I couldn’t get enough of it . although the cake was delicious I was a little disappointed because the frosting wasn’t the same as what was on the cake that I had at the restaurant . I think the one at the restaurant had cream cheese frosting on it. The one I ordered was made with buttercream frosting and I am not a big fan of buttercream especially the boiled kind . I honestly did not enjoy the cake as much and I didn’t know that I had an option for frosting . Would I go back to this bakery again? , yes absolutely! I am looking forward to it. I would highly recommend ! This bakery will be the first place that I visit when my plane arrives again in Fort Lauderdale ! Until then all I can do is dream...
