Ive always enjoyed chick fil food. Service is usually great and timely. My experience last week was an exception. Use the app with caution. In my experience ut was NOT faster. I used the mobile app. to order so we could receive the food more quickly since thursday night is consistently busy. I ordered ahead, checked in through the app in the drive thru line and inched forward a few car lengths in 10 minutes. After 15 minutes I realized I didn't have enough time before I needed to pick up my son. I left the drive through line. 7 minutes later, I returned to the parking lot. I Checked in again on the app, and went inside since the line was way shorter inside. Food wasn't ready at the mobile order station ( I said it was originally drive through) Nothing had even being processed. They were clearly overwhelmed. So I got online. I was told They don't fill the order until the customer arrives. I explained i arrived 10 min earlier as well as the drive through situation. I asked what the point of using the app was if I still had to wait in line and wait again once i got to the counter? My question was completely ignored. 5-7 minutes later I finally had my order. The server that brought my food to the car had a stank lil attitude. I called and spoke with the manager because I’d rather try to address the issues directly rather than on a review. She explained to me that the standard operating procedure for Chick-fil-A is to put all of the due diligence on the customer. The customer must ask for every item that they want beyond the food and one condiment.
For various events, we have ordered from Moe’s, Jason‘s Deli, Jimmy John’s, Subway, and Jersey Mike’s, among others. I completely understand that every business runs differently. I will never order from Chick-fil-A again for catering. I would prefer to work with any number of the above restaurants that make it seamless and easy to cater an event.
