Response 8/29: Response 8/29: As I mentioned in my email, Uri explained that we initially cut checks to vendors, which you disliked, so we switched to credit cards with reimbursement from the dealership. You never mentioned discomfort with me but accused me of credit card fraud, which suggests a misunderstanding of the term. You also claimed you weren’t paid for 4-5 vehicles done under my name, but the invoices for all 5 vehicles, including 3 personal and 2 customer vehicles, show full payment. Your accusation of non-payment is unclear. Regarding my bumper, I would have preferred using a local shop like Caliber Collision instead of a "backyard garage." I couldn't get the repair done due to only having one car, and you offered a $20 U-Haul because you didn’t want to cover the damage caused by the shop. Despite your offer, the shop was responsible for the damage, and the customer service was poor. Claiming you're doing me a favor after the employee you managed damaged my property is absurd. I’m sorry you feel our dealership is "shady"—another accusation from a tinter who put illegal tint on cars. I’m relieved we decided that continuing business wasn’t worth the trouble.
Just sharing my experiences. As a tint job itself, Mike did a great job but I will never bring any of my other cars or do business with him again. He did two of my vehicles and on the second one the tinter scrapped the bumper on the high sidewalk. Mike did not want to fix it but told me to go to one of his friends and get an estimate on how much it would cost to get my bumper fixed which I did and was told it would take a few days to get it fixed and I had no problem with it. I called Mike and informed him of what his friend said and that I would need a car to drive. Mike was very adamant he would not provide or reimburse me for any rental charges since I should be able to get transportation myself. After 2 days, he finally said he would be willing to rent me a $20 UHal truck to drive around in while my $70,000 car was in the shop because his employee damaged it.
Against my better judgment, I also tried to enter a business relationship with Mike and the dealership where I was employed because the work he does is top-notch. The first car I sent him was a Charger Hellcat that I had sold to an employee, he sent me his card information over the phone. When the job was done which was exceptional as always I went to pay. Mike questioned me for several reasons and told me what I was trying to do was credit card fraud. As it is common practice in most businesses to take payment or deposit over the phone this was news to me. I tried to explain the definition of credit card fraud since Mike seemed a little uneducated that the definition of credit card fraud is the unauthorized use of a credit card account for purposes of stealing goods or money. His only response was "I would never send someone my credit card information" which I would assume is a true statement however, just because you would never do it does not give you the right to accuse someone of a felony crime, especially as a black man I don't take those type of accusations well. It even went so far as Mike getting in touch with managers and accusing of of credit card fraud to get me fired which was unsuccessful due to them knowing my character and also the customer was a service employee and could confirm what I said.
Overall, the work he does is great but as a businessman, he has a LOT of work to do on the customer service...
Read moreThis was the first time I've had my windows tinted. I was nervous about spending the money for a job when I wasn't sure how it would come out. Two weeks after having my windows tinted I noticed there was a small hair underneath the film on the driver's side window, and there was also a ripple on the back windshield. I still give 5 stars because I think the way it was handled was appropriate. When I called I asked for a time to bring the car in I was given a quick appointment that was convenient for me. I came in, waited 2 hours in the waiting room and left with a car that now has a perfect tint job. They never tried to shy away from their responsibility or tried to minimize the issue. They stepped up, addressed it and gave me a perfect tint job on my car. They worked to make sure I was satisfied and if I ever need another car or my home tinted, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out and...
Read moreEXTREMELY PLEASED with my experience today with Mike at Carolina Tint Pros. The quality of work is exactly what I was expecting, faster than I expected it. I had an appointment for 12:00 to match up the two front windows on my new Silverado. My truck was taken in right on time and given back to me in less than 30 minutes, allowing me to get back to work before the end of my lunch break. I went for the ceramic tint and am very picky with who I let touch my vehicles, especially one with less than 200 miles on it. Mike is an absolute expert at what he does, applying a high quality product in a VERY clean and VERY professional environment. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the entire experience and am very happy that I found this place, only minutes from home. Your search for a World Class tint shop is over, THIS IS YOUR PLACE....
