BRU Burger Bar Fort Mitchell — Restaurant in Fort Mitchell

1/23/23 we walked in place was empty just one couple seated at high top table near bar. We waited a few minutes no host at the door so we started to walk towards a table in the area of other couple the bartender yells across the room please wait to be seated. So we walk back 2 ladies walk out from the kitchen and they never look up bartender has back to us and we stood there another 3 mins before I stated “Sorry to interrupt your phone time” but is there a table we can sit at as I was Working had lap top in hand and needed to sit to finish what I was Working on. Then we are seated waited a few moments waitress takes our drink order she was friendly. Brings the drinks well apparently they just cleaned the taps so the sodas were flat and weird tasting so she got us new drinks. My husband ordered the basic beginners burger 🍔 (lettuce tomato cheese mayo ketchup mustard) but they stated that hand pack the burgers but is not true .. they were patties… I ordered grilled onion pattie melt it was good came on sourdough bread but the butter or grease on burger tasted salty.. fries were soggy dried up no flavor… I had Also ordered onion rings as a side and came with five rings that tasted horrible like the oil was old and soaked in oil and there’s no condiments on the table like salt pepper ketchup so we had to ask her for all that stuff ! I will Not go back there again and I’m new to Cincinnati from Boston it was my 3rd outing to a restaurant in the area. It had good reviews? I don’t know if it was people that worked there who write the reviews ?? I will Say BEBO’s Artisan Burgers is the place or The Turf Club have been the best burgers I have Had in the area !! 5 🌟for those places .5 for this place! And it was very cold...

Today was our first visit to BRU Burger, and we were thrilled! My daughter ordered chicken tenders which were hot, crispy, and juicy. The portion was huge, and she was happy to have leftovers. (I tasted them, too, and they were excellent including the coating). She also had a Bloody Mary which was fantastic. My husband had the Beginning Burger, which is a cheeseburger that included all the basic toppings, and he was very satisfied and happy with the taste. He likes his burgers well done, and they cooked it perfectly. Great job guys, because he’s a picky eater. The side of onion rings were so good that we almost skipped the spicy ketchup, but thank goodness we didn’t! I ordered the Provençal Burger which has Basil Aioli, Marinated Red Onion, Herbed Goat Cheese, and Sautéed Mushrooms (but I skipped the mushrooms). The burger was tender, cooked medium as ordered, bun was sweet and toasted beautifully, and overall it was incredibly delicious. The aioli sauce and herbed goat cheese totally took it over the top. 😋

I’m so stuffed while writing this review but had to make sure I shared the experience. The restaurant is clean with a pleasant atmosphere, beautiful wood furnishings, good background music, and impeccable service. I’m excited...

We went on a Thursday night, not too crowded. We were sat and nobody came for at least 10-15 minutes to greet us. Finally a manager came over and took our drink orders and offered us a free appetizer. We thought that was a nice gesture and ordered the soft pretzels. The server finally came over to get our order and said she did not know we were sitting there. I ordered a well done burger with crispy bacon and a over hard egg. The burger came out barely medium, the bacon looked like it wasn't even cooked, and the egg came out runny, and I was missing my cheese. I asked the server if she could just get me crispy bacon and a slice of cheese, I would just deal with the rest. After waiting about 10 minutes, they brought me out 3 slices of bacon that were burnt (literally black) and no cheese. By the time I got my cheese and reassembled my burger, the whole thing was cold. I just ate it because it was starting to get late and I was hungry. When it was time for the bill it took forever to get the bill and forever for the server to pick it up. She was too busy bussing tables and sweeping her section she she could leave for the night. Pretty disappointing...
