This place is so unreliable. Coming from Miami to Fort Myers I was so excited to have a Vicky Bakery so close to home, the last time I was here I had to wait for my order for a long time, noticed people that got there after me getting their food so decided to ask just for them to realize my food had been sitting there for the longest and nobody cared to deliver to me. This time around I placed an order 2 hours ago, paid over the phone to make sure it was ready to go when I picked it up since I had somewhere to be, when I got there, my platters were not ready, the ladies behind the counter were almost laughing between each other about it asking each other where my order was, just to say they had to fry the croquetas and package the platter that once again, I CALLED TWO HOURS AGO AND PAID FOR TO HAVE READY FOR WHEN I GOT THERE. If you need to place an order for pick up MAKE SURE you have enough time to wait for your order because lore than likely it wont be ready and you calling ahead will be pointless. They didnt even apologize they just acted like all they have to do is fry them. Very disappointed because Ive never experienced this in the Miami...

They just opened today (Dec. 05). I guess there are about 30 locations in the State, but I've never seen one until today. The location is visible from Colonial, but it is a little twisty actually getting to the storefront.
I ordered three empanadas and several croquetas for our office, plus a colada and a sugar cookie (polvoron). I'll start with the cookie. It was PER-FECT! Just how I like them: crunchy on outside, but soft for the rest of the bite. It was SO THICK I didn't think it could be perfect, but it WAS. The colada was POTENT and sweet, also just like I like it. The pastry was (not to overuse the word, but) PERFECT: flakey and wonderful. The fillings were very tasty. I actually liked the cheese croqueta the best.
I am going to have a VERY DIFFICULT time staying away from this place. Granted, this was their first day, but it was REFRESHING to run into staff that were excited to be serving food and about their store being open. Friendly, beautiful, smiling people that made you feel good about ordering too many calories...
Read moreI was really looking forward to this cake, and before ordering, I specifically asked if it would be moist and juicy inside. I was told it would be, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite dry—not at all what I expected or asked for. It lacked the freshness and flavor I was hoping for, especially considering how expensive it was.
On top of that, the customer service wasn’t great. The person who was attending me at the cashier was initially helping me choose the cake, but in the middle of our conversation—before I had even finished—she walked away to help another customer. I was left standing there confused and unattended, which made the experience even more disappointing.
To be honest, Publix cakes are way better in both quality and service. They’re consistently moist, flavorful, and reasonably priced. I really wanted to support a smaller business, but unfortunately, this just didn’t meet my...
