Definitely a great area to explore! Great for shopping and discovering very cool boutiques, activities (calusa planetarium, butterfly estates, coastal Dayz & millenial microbreweries...) lots of delicious restaurants to eat out at like Capone's or Ford Garage, also great for having some drinks as there are bars everywhere, the social house called Soho by the locals is very popular, great place! It's also great for partying in the evening, lots of bars and clubs, and if you simply want a cocktail with a great view of the Caloosahatchee river at sunset there are plenty of places such as the firestone skybar & the luminary hotel bar. It is on a busy route so once you're in to the business district, you can take your time looking for a place to park looking for a place to shop and looking for the store you're looking for. most of the buildings are nicely presentable and has a nice selection of stores this area is quaint and unique and it's a nice place to shop and visit. Read moreThe renovation took several years, but worth the wait. The Sidney Burne Davis building houses a gallery. The gallery rotates shows, music, well done. The new ampitheater at the basin is gorgeous, in front of the Luminary Hotel. In fact, we caught the Pabo Cruise, Rosada Project concert here earlier this month. Great show, venue, fun time. We come to the River District the first Friday of each month for Art Walk, the third Friday of month for Music Walk. Both are well worth the visit, fun time, people.
