First Street Village — Local services in Fort Myers

I love the setup and selection here. The Deli workers are always so nice. The only reason I'd give it four stars is because 8 out of 10 times I find the cashiers to be very either uninterested, unengaging, or sometimes just so obviously unhappy with their job that it shows in their actions, words and look on their face. I know it can't be the job of the century, but if you're gonna choose to do it, I would expect you to at least try to smile and engage the customer in a friendly way. I always did that and most of the people I've worked with agree that is the norm. But hey, maybe I've just caught every cashier on a bad day or something. Seems unlikely but stranger things...

Beware of shopping at Publix. Past experiences at this store has been a nightmare. If you do shop there, look over receipt as they like to pad the bill. Also, had a bad experience when I used my debit card as they pre-authorized amount over what I had purchased. The response when question was, it was corporate that did it. Then corporate called me and they said, don't know why local store had done that. Oh...

I wouldnt exactly call this a shopping mall . Then main store in this area is the Publix grocery store, which is why I went there @ this time.I had seem this balloon in display areas of a KCC 🏈.
