Island Visions, Gallery & Gifts — Attraction in Fort Myers

I took my 82 year old mother to Matlacha for her birthday. It was about 96 degrees out and we stopped at the ice cream shop next door after lunch and had to eat outside do to the pandemic restrictions. After our ice cream we decided to go in to Island visions which is attached to the ice cream shop. There were four women, 3 in their 80’s and myself 58. We started looking around the store when we noticed that they were following us around the store which made us feel uncomfortable. Then my mother got tired and needed to sit and there was a small ice cream chair in the store, so she sat while I stepped outside to send a text message to my daughter, as my mother wanted to buy her an item the store had and we needed to know what color she wanted and their receptions was bad. At that point, while I was outside, one of the employees told my mother she was not allowed to sit and made this 82 year old woman who was feeling faint and tired from the 90 degree heat, that she needed to get up. Mind you the other two women were standing there and it was part of the shop! Then when we were trying to buy a gift for my daughter both women where hovering around us like vultures. I felt that woman waited for me to step outside before she told my mother to get up. Had I know that this had transpired, I never would have allowed my mother to purchase the item for my daughter, as they did not deserve her business. I will never go back!!!! If I could give it 0...

I brought my family who was visiting me out to my favorite store in Matlacha this week, only to be harshly greeted that the store was closing in 10 minutes. It was 4:46 and they close at 5:00. We briskly looked around and then said hello to Hector the cat who was more friendly than the lady working at the store. She rolled her eyes when we stopped and asked his name even though it was still before 5:00. I said to my my family, "she must have a hot date." as we walked out the door because we felt so intrusive and unwelcome. It all made sense a few minutes later when we stopped for happy hour right down the road, and there she was drinking her bucket of beer with her date. Zero * for lack of...

I found a pair of earrings at this store that would work perfectly for my wedding dress however they were slightly too long for me. My mom and I discussed how we wished they were shorter while looking at them. One of the ladies working came over and suggested that the person who made the earrings could adjust them to the perfect length for me. She was so helpful and had worked with the person to have them back to me before I left Florida to go home.

They hands down have amazing customer service and I am so excited to have these earrings which now hold such a special place...
