I normally like going ro Jacks because they serve breakfast late. I understand that all of there normal menue items are not available the closer it gets to lunch time. But I did ask who I am assuming was the manager if they had eggs and he told me all that they had left was scrabble eggs. I did ask him if I could have the scrabble eggs put on the big breakfast sandwich and he said that I could. So that is what I ordered. When I got my sandwich there was no egg no cheese and they had put lettuce on it. When I took the sandwich back up the lady that was running the drive thru asked me what was wrong with it and I told her. I was even like hey I didn't want a BLT but to not complain I will take some tomatoes on it and be good (even though that is not what I ordered) she said in a rude way that there is no tomatoes due to the hurricane and there is a very small sign that was hard to read and also made a rude comment about breakfast was over 15 minutes ago. I even explained to her that I did ask before I even ordered my food if they had any eggs available. They did begrudgingly i feel make my sandwich (so at least I got what I ordered) when I went to go get some napkins there were none and other than having to wait for someone to acknowledge me once again and get the attitude I did before I just made sure I was careful with my sandwich. I understand that customer service is hard and that you will run out of things but the time I came in there was maybe 2 customers in the drive thru and 1 person in front of me and it was slow the whole time I was there. I would have been more understanding if they would have been super busy...
Read moreLong line in drive thru, so I went in. 4 ppl working, 1 had an attitude, the cook was nicer and definitely OVER the one with attitude. Another girl trying to fill the drive thru orders. And the new girl who took my order. She mumbled and would never look up.
A guy waiting finally received 'something' and left while I was in line. He came back about 5 minutes later because his order was wrong. Another 5 minutes for him to get the missing item.
The guy in front of me ordered, waited for 15 minutes, then wanted a refund. No one knew how to do it. His order was actually ready, but no one realized it.
3 sets of people who came in after me left before they even ordered because no one ever came back to the register to take their orders.
I waited about 10 minutes for my order. They gave me half (which was 4 biscuits with gravy on the side) and asked if there was anything else. Uh, yes. The other half of my order. I told them what was missing, which was 2 sausage link biscuits, 1 steak biscuit, and 1 sausage biscuit. Three were talking over each other about my order while the new girl stood in the corner.
I got the steak biscuit and was asked again if there was anything else. Yes, the other 3 biscuits. I got the 2 sausage link biscuits, and again, was asked if there was anything else. Finally got everything and left.
Got home and upon opening the containers with the gravy, 1 was half full, while the other 3 were maybe a quarter full. Barely enough to cover the biscuit.
Moral of the story, check your order thoroughly. And go when no else is there.
The food was good, but the service was no...
Read moreGot the free "biscuit on us" flyer in the mail, and gave them a shot today. Ordered the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. Its a good measure of any restaurant, as the eggs should be soft, the bacon should be reasonably crisp, and the biscuit should stay in one piece.
Arrived 9 am.
Things seemed hectic at the drive through window, They had to reconfirm what I had ordered with only three cars in the drive-thru. The Manager seemed bothered by what was going on.
The sandwich itself was probably fluffed a little in the microwave, since all components of it were extremely hot, and the biscuit was a little soggy. It did not fall apart, but the taste of the biscuit was too salty for me, and I am one who likes salt and flavor.
The egg was cooked correctly, not too tough, and wasn't overly saturated with shortening.
The bacon had crisp spots but was more rubbery overall. Probably needed to be cooked more.
Three stars for an average meal. Reminded me the Croissan'wiches I would eat with my Grandmother when we would go to Burger King in the 1990's. They microwaved theirs too. No, I don't go to Burger King for breakfast now that I am an adult, primarily for that reason.
They are at a good location, and have an opportunity to be an alternative to the FF joints already in place, but unless they up their game, Bojangles and McDonalds both remain where you should go for a FF breakfast, at least for your bacon, egg and cheese biscuits,...
