Licken' Good Donuts is a small storefront serving big flavor donuts. All of the time-tested types of donuts are available, including many new ideas. Their Maple-Bacon donut is very popular. They tend to sell out daily, so for the best variety, don't wait till late afternoon. I have been there as early as 7:00 AM and as late as 2:00 PM and never had to wait more than a few minutes. I have arrived between 3:00 and 5:00 PM only to find they had sold out already. Licken' Good Donuts is as good as any of the well-known national chains that have existed over the past fifty years and better than many. It's certainly worth checking them out if you are anywhere in the Dekalb County area. In fact, if you want a great donut, they are worth the drive from Scottsboro to Albertville...

We had to turn around to get to our location. Wouldn't you know the turn around would be in their parking lot. Nothing fancy on the outside but my wife and I decided that donuts was a good idea,worth a shot being that there weren't many choices to pick up food after a long trip. God works in His ways! What an amazing donut. We ended up buying two dozen of various flavors. Not one was a disappointment. Everyone enjoyed them and we had them the next morning and they were just as delicious. I have my preference on donuts from larger chains. Krispy Kreme had the top honors from me on the glazed and dunkins had my vote for flavors. This place topped them both on glazed and flavors! I work at a bakery and make donuts almost daily. When I say it’s hard work, it’s hard work. But Lickin’ Good Donuts makes it seem effortless. Their donuts are pure heaven. So light and fluffy plus always served with a smile. My late mother used to always ask “can we stop and get a donut” to which I’d always reply “no”. 9 times out of 10 we’d always end up getting a box anyway. Not only because it was hard to say no to my mother. But because they’re just that good. Now whenever I stop in for a donut (or a dozen) it always takes me back to those happy memories I shared with my mother. We’d laugh and share our picks of the day with each other. Lickin’ Good will always hold a special place in my heart.....
