Crab soup was full of shells, $26 Parmesan grouper fish was supposed to be blackened, had no flavor and over cooked. First time I have ever seen my husband put tartar sauce on fish! The fact that they had a bottle of tartar sauce on the table should speak for itself… $14 Chicken salad was three small pieces of Walmart tenders, again over cooked, on brown wilted spring greens. They did sprinkle some bacon bits on the brown lettuce but I didn’t try them. Crab cakes looked and tasted like the chef got a can of crab and smashed it flat. One waiter was complaining about his job to other guests and our waitress, good and attentive is the only reason I gave this review any stars. So many other delicious restaurants in the area don’t waste your money here!!
Edit- I did send the food back but declined the waitress offer to have the food prepared again after reading the owner’s response to other negative reviews. Walmart chicken is the dried bland chicken pieces they leave under a heat lamp all day. I Should have read the reviews more carefully as there are several mentions of brown lettuce, over cooked and bland dishes. And if you don’t serve bacon on your chicken salad I am very concerned for what those brown pieces were in my food!! I really wish I would’ve taken pictures.
A note To the owner you should take a good look at your negative reviews and learn from them. Don’t get all on the defensive and get so mad, all that does is make you look like an a@! Your staff need a leader, someone to teach them how to properly prepare food and what shouldn’t be sent out to a...
Read moreWe have always enjoyed eating at Ricks every year we come to Fort Walton for vacation, but tonight I felt like We were literally taken advantage of. We asked the waitress what the market price for snow crab legs and we were told $52 a LB…….we knew they were gonna be expensive but we all indulge when on vacation and spare no expense when it comes to crab legs, we accepted the price but we were NOT given the product! We were given 2 small clusters, which the legs were as around as my finger! There is NO WAY we got anything CLOSE to a pound of crab legs!!! I really wish I would have taken a picture before we ate but I did take a picture afterwards of the shells of my 1lb $52 worth of crab, anyone that eats crab legs will look at this picture and decide to definitely NOT order crab legs here. I understand the hardship the restaurants have gone through for the past year, but I did not complain of the price and I can afford to pay the price, but to cheat me of the full Lb that I paid for was really shameful. I told my waitress how we all felt and she apologized, she said she spoke to the manager/owner and there was nothing they could do……no one but the waitress came out to talk to us. I have never been so disappointed and felt so taken advantage of as we did...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible customer service. The restaurant was not busy and no one was awaiting to be seated and the Gentleman in front of us was trying to get seated for a large group around 10 and they were refusing to seat him even though there were obviously many tables available. They were "saving smaller tables for the smaller groups" and "none of the wait staff will accept a group that large". I listened to this go on for a solid 10 minutes before a rude waitress and the hostess finally seated the group. They told the man the refused a group of 11 earlier. Not sure that's a smart business model considering after listening to that our group of 10 decided not to eat there at all. So I'm glad you turned away a guaranteed 21 people for the 0 groups of 2 & 4 to be seated.....
Edited response to restaurant: if you would have read my review the establishment has plenty of availability to seat the parties they just refused to. If the restaurant was busy or had a wait that would have been acceptable however pure poor customer service and snappy hostess/waitresses are not acceptable. Don't worry they we never intend on returning to your establishment. I can see from your other reviews that poor experiences seem to be the norm for this...
